What is the round white thing below the cameras on this phone?
Received today this LG Stylo6 by BoostMobile, and I noticed right away performance lag after all the setup and activation, I can fairly assess that because of all the bloatware from BoostMobile, definitely slowed down this mid-tier class smartphone. The 'straw that broke the barn' here is the lack of RAM = 3GB. IF LG did the proper job of making this a 4GB RAM, then the lag would be negligible. The few things that's a 'plus' is the big screen, the solid feel built , triple camera and very nice video display..
I think I am returning this - and the only thing that would reconsider me buying this again is IF it would be an unkock phone and not dependent on any carrier.
Dont buy this if you are like me already complaining on the 1st day of use and also contemplated of returning it.
I still could not understand why LG is not keen to upgrade their LG Stylo Series.
For years, and LG keep repeating the suicide on this highly potential series.
Crappy SoC, low RAM, who is actually the target customers by the LG? LG intentionally doesn't want to sell this phone I think.
3 GB Ram is deal breaker in 2020 and this is the Only reason i am not going to buy this phone....How much it will cost to add just 1 Gb ram?
Don't call it mid range. This is low end.
20.5:9 aspect ratio is way too tall and awkward. Should've stuck to 19:9 size. And where's the AC Wifi and NFC that the Stylo 5 had?
YUKI93, 20 May 2020Most people would diss Mediatek for being inferior compared to Snapdragon, that is why.Sd only have 865, every other soc from mtk is better, especialy 5g chipsets.
this is definitely not mid-range, it's just low end and overpriced
The P35 is too weak, it should have been a a G90, Dimensity 800, SD730 or SD765. But it's LG...

This issue to Mediatek is misleading, people will think that mediatek is a crappy chipset which is far from the truth.
Alex 94, 20 May 2020Why? I like mtk chipsets. Most people would diss Mediatek for being inferior compared to Snapdragon, that is why.
$180 with a stylus is definitely eye-catching. The only thing that might put people away is the Mediatek chipset.
Why doesn't LG make a midrange stylus phone? Right now there's only entry level from LG and flagship from Samsung. The market needs a midrange stylus phone.
Great. So it's mostly a design change. The added battery and storage are about all that's really worth anything. Yippie
