That's also my first impression after first seeing it.
Why not make it AT LEAST 3 variants; Red(Asuka-version), Light Blue (Ayanami version), Purple (Shinji version), and another collector's edition PINK (Mari version) or Eva-13 version with both Shinji & Kaoru (for BL fans, they'll be crazy over this)
Add with exclusive Ringtone, short animation, and skins for each respective version, I bet no Eva fans will bother with the price.

Aah seeing that red NERV logo bring so much of my childhood. I remember once got so hooked with that logo that I printed that and put it pretty much everywhere.
