they have partnered with so many different brands like mclaren, marvel, star wars...etc.
now they can partner with something different like soccer teams, uefa champions league, batman, superman, durex...etc.

and technically there is a 3rd McLaren. The 7T Pro version had a regular 4G release and was first. The 5G was for the US market. The edition is more than the phone too. The 6T had a piece of carbon fibre, authenticity certificate, collector's book, and an AR app too boot.

What a shame. The 7T Pro McLaren Edition was basically the best phone. (With the only flaw being a lack of a jack (Which is why I said basically))

McLaren phones are for posers. Same with any of them high end crossover tech products. Samsung did really well with their star wars note 10+, which fits the crowd.

Can't be cheap to have a partnership with McLaren. Especially if sales/profit doesn't add up. It was fun when it lasted.

What complete nonsense is this? You said the 6t mclaren was a completely new phone and the 7t mclaren wasn't but then listed the things that made BOTH phones exactly different from their non racing counterparts. Who writes these articles??

I'm sure OP will still find a way to jack-up the price an extra few hundreds for another so-called "Premium/Limited" edition T series.

Anon, 21 May 2020Yeah, like all phone companies out there, lol.True, but until the OP8, OnePlus still had a good image, I mean the OP7 were a little expensives but they were really good phone and good value, OnePlust only starting screwing up since this year, so its the time for McLaren to find another Smartphone brand that do less of that (or none).

British Engineering doesn’t want to deal with Chinese anymore.

Don't worry... There is Ferrari, AMG, Bentley, Aston Martin, Bugatti, F1 Teams, Williams etc... Plenty of other excellent brands. I used to work for a highly sought after racing team. We had a Maclaren designer there and one from Mitsubishi Ralliart too. Sponsors in the motorsports world are always changing. And even pulling out quite often.

McLaren secretlyand illegally obtained blueprints of 2008 Ferrari F1 car,and then former McLaren driver Fernando Alonso was a WhistleBlower and leaked the info to FIA that McLaren had obtained access to 2008 Ferrari F1 cars IP and complete blueprint through plants inside Ferrari team in Maranello.

FIA outright banned McLaren from F1 forever, how ever Max Mosley president of FIA thought that complete ban was too harsh and slapped them $100 million fine and stripped them their 3rd place constructors championship and scrapped them from 2007 seasons history.

McLaren doesn't have the credibility to be associated with OnePlus LOL :) and you go the other way round.
