Give the US ad China next year today. Going to be an exciting year as all US actions against China are going to see results - Trade-war, Huawei, 5G dominance, Covid19 recovery, Hong Kong protests, is Trump still the president and geopolitical powers. If China is stealing 5G tech from the US, how come US 5G is absolute steaming horse sh!t while Chinese 5G has a wider coverage, faster rollout? How come China has better manufacturing, how come the US heavily relies on China for their production? If China is nothing but a cheating thief, how come they're the leading innovator and Huawei is the largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, and US technology is leagues behind?

You cannot tell me America doesn't steal tech from other countries, being the number 1 economy and having all of its little secrets.
And none of them will stop stealing, even if they're caught.
Im not saying it is morally correct it isn't, but if no one will stop stealing, then learn to steal better. Don't come crying if the opponent plays the exact same game but better.

It's really easy to say "china? ill get something else" but actually doing so is quite different.
Im neither pro-china or pro-US, mind you. But it is ridiculous to think only China will come out screwed out of this. I think its a great strategy to increase popularity via proud-to-be Americans, but I'm definitely unsure of what the future holds, as is everyone.
Hope it turns out okay though, since China and the US have a lot of influence on the world economy.

USA will survive as no one cares in the west about Huawei products, their communication equipments it is cheap but crappy, can be easely replaced with better quality ones if needed. Huawei its just hurt and complaining, nothing to worry about :)

Happily supporting Apple now, moved away from Huawei after 2 years, I really dont want be supporting a dictatorship china or one that's supports North Korea!!
Many European markets, UK and especially the USA wont accept many other unheard of chinese companies, brand penetration is key in many western markets, something Apple and Samsung currently control the majority of, certainly helped by Huawei's google ban.
I've seen a few articles that state that some market analyst believe Apple could indeed becomes the global leader in smartphone sales, I'm more than satisfied with my new Apple phone despite previous(for 10 years) believing them to be crap basically, happy I made the jump.

Even the higher education that a lot of their brightest minds receive is mostly from Western universities. They get educated overseas and take their newfound knowledge back to the motherland, or they get hired by big Western companies that they spy on and steal from because they feel a sense of duty to do so. Either way, I'm glad the party is over for China and I hope this wonderful trend continues.

The U.S. used to be producers of a lot of different things and they can be again. It was only after we convinced the Chinese to join the WTO about two decades ago when we started relying on them more and more. A lot of U.S. companies will move back here, and the ones that don't will relocate to cheaper countries.

Both Apple and Google are making cheaper devices these days and our friends in Japan, South Korea, and maybe even Taiwan will provide us with affordable mid-range and low-end devices. We don't need your crap and you're easily replaceable lol.
