Fearghast, 22 May 2020Unless there is WH-1000XM4 as a preorder bonus, I see no reasong to even consider pre-order.Looks like it's going to be the in-ear version; WF-1000XM3. B&H has added two kits the pre-order.

Sony yesterday posted 6 videos to teach how to use the new app Photo Pro.
Today 7 videos to teach how to use Cinema Pro (should have been done it last year, anyway).

IpsDisplay, 22 May 2020Not from a specs or even performance point of view.. No not the product I honestly have ... moreWell, the Japanese are notoriously horrendous when it comes to marketing and outside-of-Japan business decisions, only a handful of companies surpassed those limits. Nintendo, a Japanese giant that has been international for decades now, is still the business-decisions-laughing stock of the gaming industry. They are still loved exclusively thanks to the amazing fun-type products they release. The manga and anime industry is probably losing billions of dollars of business opportunity by not expanding correctly (or at all) internationally.

So no, from a marketing/business point of view, you don't have to take Sony seriously (anymore), unless you live in Japan.

Belsimpel.nl removed the price from the list. Release was about 4 Weeks, as we speak they didn't know.

Even more so when dealing with high margin products like clothes or smartphones. We could argue how Sony is putting some of the best tech in their phones or not, but it doesn't change the point. The fastest growing smartphone brands have traditionally been budget brands; Huawei up until a few years ago, Xiaomi and OnePlus up until this year, Realme still. What's happened to HTC, Sony, LG? They're doing it to themselves though.

Sony phones are usually decent, just priced way above reasonable. They might as well charge $5000. No one is going to buy it if it's overpriced anyway and we'll see in 6 months how they have had falling sales compared to Q3 2019. I don't understand how the company continues to make the same mistakes. Is it pride, market constraints, trying to milk the last few remaining fans? The smartphone consumer base tends to crown winners, if you're not winning then you're losing. You can't charge $1300 when you're losing. Moto Edge+ already got a price drop... Sony will suffer the same fate, possibly even pre-release.
