umeshk, 26 May 2020Going by the title i thougt they went for flagship harware all round.... But actually this upg... moreThe title is pretty dumb tbh; the successor to X being superior to X is generally a given. A move like Pixel rumoured to be going from flagship silicon to upper-midrange for the 5th gen is an anomaly.

Honestly, the bad specifications was the least of the Razr's problems. Lenovo's Motorola is legendary for poor hardware and software quality. Does anyone believe that Motorola will suddenly become a safe buy?

Just hope it’ll be launched in more market. I don’t think the spec matters that much now. My sd660 Android phone runs as smooth as my a12 iPhone for the most part

The big problem with the old phone was the price and durability.

I'm still daily driving a OnePlus One with a SD801 on Android 9. Android does not get that much heavier with each generation (that would be horrible on Google's part since the Linux kernel usually gets more optimized every release)

Imagine Motorola releasing two-tier RAZR with two different chipsets, just like they did with the Edge and Edge+. That would be neat.

If you want to talk midrange, go to 6xx. 4xx is the budget entry-level device. 2xx would be best for Android Go or KaiOS devices.

that aside, yes, most people would be fine for some years even with 6xx series (aside from some lag)

Well the last folding Moto was weird strange but some people found it great for use.
Next Moto looks arguably better but i feel bad for it will cost too much to impress the audience in current coronacrisis where people are happy they have work and earn money.

Nowdays the trend is to buy the most cheaper phone with most awesome specs. Such as Nubia Red Magic, or Realme X50 series or Xiaomi flagships under 400 bucks like Pocophone etc.
