Yeah... moreOr look it this way: The front display was for most people unusable, so turn it into a dedicated notification screen, just like on the LGV10 and V20. Most people prefer the main display anyway.
Users complained about the cover screen being too small, so Samsung made it even smaller. Yeah, that makes sense

You're the one who said people cover their phones with cheap cases. Case is case and it protects. Doesn't matter if it's cheap or not if the quality and protection is the same or similar. So you're the one who doesn't have sense.
Btw, the best sense right now is - don't buy foldables!
GrandMaster, 27 May 2020Enough with your dumb, senseless questions. Have some sense mate.Common sense would dictate you handle a fragile device carefully. Foldable phones are more fragile than regular phones, therefore it is only common sense that you should handle foldable phones more carefully than regular phones. This means not tossing it around like a regular phone, or putting it in your pocket with keys and other sh!t. Put it in a dedicated pouch like common sense would dictate. You're the senseless one here.
For such a huge device, it sure lacks a lot of features like the SD card slot or the 3.5mm jack.
My next phone will probably be Sony Xperia 1 II or the Note20+.
GrandMaster, 26 May 2020Common sense.Does common sense also tell you to handle fragile expensive glass sculptures like you would handle a child's toy, like a child?
Will the samsung fold 2 be sold by sprint or giving an option for customers to buy or will it be that it need to be bought straight out
People are not smart thinking notch-less is a good idea it is way easier to hack a phone when it have less security. No camera in the front of phone is bad idea.
I don't think this is a good idea at all. It took me months to feel comfortable opening my Fold on the train if it wasn't opened already. I just don't like the attention it brings. Maybe that won't be an issue for others, but I certainly would not want to open it all the time just to read a email etc.
Imagine having to open this device just to search for a song. No, no, no, no, no, no, no and no.
So it basically become from semi useful device to something not useful at all!
Having have to open device every time you want to use it us really bad!

What mental gymnastics is that?
So they are going to get rid of external display
Best foldable on the market right now!

That was the point. The Mate X is a failed design that simply never will work in real life. Flimsy plastic screen on a 200+ gram phone, exposed to all the physical abuse 24/7. That is what you get when your "research" department doesn't have a template to copy.
Seems like Samsung wants to win the prize for the biggest notch) Wish them best luck, it couldn't be possible without creating foldable phone!)

But yeah I agree, the current gen looks absolutely nothing like Galaxy Fold.

You're expecting to be able to throw around a $2000 device just like your cheap sub-$500 phones. Even Samsung themselves say this with their "Premium Care" service that basically just tells you not to fscking treat it like a child's toy.

Huawei will not make an inward-folding phone, and I assume Samsung will not make an outward folding one either.
