MagicMonkeyBoy, 26 May 2020That 855+ is certainly no slouch and can give the A13 a run for its money... LOL, no more "apple a13 bad snapdragon far better" comments right here. You always seem to find these kinds of perfect opportunity to trash talk apple like this.

No, 855+ doesn't nearly give apple a13 a run for money. Apple a13 is the equivalent for the 865.

LCD already martches oled contrast RIGHT NOW

You see movies that you watch are produced on screens called DUAL CELL LCD

Ultra expensive LCD screens that OLED have no chance against in terms of color volume, accuracy and peak brightness

How is this possible? It matches contrast by offering pixel level light control (sounds familiar? Yes just like oled)

But go ahead and believe that smartphone displays represent the capabilities of display technology as a whole

Look here for a consumer example here:

Also oleds have bad colour accuracy in low brightness, either colours shift to green or other tint or you loose subtle grey details. Sometimes there is also banding.

I don't understand why should I watch videos on such small screen when you have tv, pc or tablet with bigger screens. Also many use phones for work and then most use is during daylight.

JDK, 26 May 2020worse battery life cause of an LCD display? Bruh, LCD saves battery. Not always, not with a global dark theme, maybe not if the refresh rate is higher, and not for sure if both are combined. I'm not dumb I know LCD has a much lower power draw if both display a white screen.

IpsDisplay, 27 May 2020Can you explain how Moving from fake FHD(880p), 60hz oled To true 1080p, and 120hz is a... moreI don't know where 880p comes from it's full HD+, 1080x2400, even though it's pentile so there are less blue leds (or green I'm not sure?), it's still sharp enough, it's a 90Hz screen not 60, don't know what you're talking about.
EDIT : Ok 880 comes from pentile I get it. I'm a bit slow sometimes, it's still plenty enough sharp, I'd like to make a study and show the same content in a 1080p Oled pentile vs 1080p LCD screen to a bunch of people in different lighting conditions and ask which one they preferred.
To answer why it's better :
                                - because higher refresh rate is useless and draws much more battery (yes it's U-S-E-L-E-S-S, 60Hz is perfectly smooth if you don't compare it with more, so why going for more, why setting a higher standard if it's so useless and has many cons : battery and price) Of course you can disable it, but why paying for it?
                                - because Oled is much better in low light for videos, movies, dark themes, games... It allows much better HDR, and it can draw less power with dark themes

The only upsides of LCD is no pentile and no burn in, so better longevity depending on your usage. Some burn in is not the end of the world but it can be a nuisance.
I would choose 60Hz Oled over 120Hz LCD without a second of hesitation for the same price, wonce I've tried Oled I can't come back. My old S8 still has 0 burnt in pixels.
