The OnePlus 5t was my first OnePlus phone and I still have great feelings about it. It's a great phone and Android 10 will definitely make it more zappier.

Ok, I am not saying that a low-end or mid-range Samsung phone from 2017 should be updated to Android 10, but still Samsung is releasing many more models per year, which translates in higher cost if they will update all those important models for more than 2 years.
I am not excusing Samsung here, I think is bad strategy, but it is what it is. The good part is that they are covering all price range. The downsize is that they can't update their phones for more than 2 years.
But, I have a friend with a S8+ (bought it immediately after launch) and he didn't even update his phone to Android 9. Only to Android 8. He said the phone works good as it is.
So, I don't understand what is the big problem if people will not get Android 10.

If you care about software updates, Google and One Plus phones are basically the only ones that matter in Android.
I really don't care about software updates, not even security updates, as long as the phone works and performs great. My current phone (which I bought maybe 1 month ago), has the security patch update from November 2019.
For me personally, I don't understand why common people are so obsessed with security or software updates. They have like 3 apps and 2 games on their phones. And maybe 20EUR on their bank account. But they are acting like they are some very important political figure with lots of compromises data on their phones.

There are ads on MiUI even on global versions. Check Techtablets Xiaomi reviews on Youtube. Ads can be found in Xiaomi's own apps on their phones.

But of course, this can be argued as xioami almost port all the android features and baked in to their own miui or vice versa..
Personally i dont bother with android version in my xioami phone.. It heavily skin.

Alex 94, 27 May 2020One plus is not best Chinese manufacturer.It is in terms of software and software support. Unlike other Chinese vendors, One Plus only releases 4-6 phones a year so there are less phones for them to support. I've always thought about getting a One Plus phone.

They will end up on the same software as the chipset and hardware is from the same generation, no Android 13 and OnePlus only promises two major updates.
