julyslastborn, 06 Jun 2012show me any striking difference, for example between the asha touch range phones and the previo... moreits obvious.. its UI.. it changed a lot.. now if u r not going to get n if u see my handling this phone along with my lumia800(which i have now) u ll regret..
After the rush of high-powered smartphones and the undeniable fact of having to charge our batteries everyday, it's really nice to have once again simple phones with some of the smartphone features minus the battery appetite. Beginning to consider the Asha 311 as my second phone and hopefully have to charge only twice a week.
I now believe that Nokia is beginning to find its orientation once again. This range of phones, with such intelligent specs and prices will sell like hot cakes. Given Nokia's reputation for making solid value for money phones, personally I sense a new dawn for Nokia and so much the better.
Fresh UI. great specs. eye-catching design.. at-last great price tag.. wow!! its meltemi..oh my God.. Wat else u want.. it supports multitasking.. just watch the video guys.. awesome
v nice models, would sell like hot cake in asian market, mainly india, pakistan and bangladesh. Nice phones! nicely priced!
fonehunter, 06 Jun 2012There was a rumored nokia phone with design similar to this 1 or 2 years ago.there are always rumors, it's hear now, that matters
i am very keen to see this mobile phone's in market when it will out for sale in indian market's....
Now this brings budget phones to a whole new level. This spec sheet at mere $115 is highly remarkable:
Good for Nokia, I hope everything turns out better for them in the high end segment.
julyslastborn, 06 Jun 2012honestly speaking S40 handsets are yet to ride on the same level with android handsets. Its a fact.in that price range can u get android phone with a good battery life?
nothing is so special about android....my nokia n70 performed better in terms of performance than most android phones....nokia pls i need wp 8
I'm asking much but can we have this UI style for our S40 Asha phones with 1ghz processor? :D

Tsepz, 06 Jun 2012Lame? What are you? 12?
You clearly haven't a clue of what you're talking about.
Are you awa... moreWell, as you could see, other ppl replied for me, but still, please go buy an android phone of 90 euro and let me know if it is useable...
Actually, let me help you. I recently purchased a Galaxy Y Pro (about 130 euro) phone for my everyday needs, and I can reassure you that:
1) It is dead slow in handling
2) It can bearly handle multitasking
E.G., when I run the browser and open my dictionary at the same time, the browser is closed by the system. This is not multitasking.
If you go to price range of 200+ euro, yes, you can find many android phones worth having, e.g. Xperia Ray.
But sub 100 euro you will get absolutely nothing.
julyslastborn, 06 Jun 2012haha,ashas cant make it. And to make it worse they are using the same old boring and lame S40 OS.there are those who don't care about the specs they just want a touchscreen phone that can access simple websites.
but if you were talking about someone that wants to play the best games and download videos, then you're totally right, this phone isn't pretty good at all !
Surprise. Nokia is pumping already developed market. Nice phones @ good price.
KF, 06 Jun 2012LOL clueless person detected, it's NOT the same S40 as u know itYes there are lots of people who are commenting without knowing. This new OS is called as S40 Ash and includes some fascinating features taken from MeeGo such as Swipe and also supports limited multi tasking.
These are the same people who don't know nothing about Nokia Belle and keep saying "Oh Symbian! Epic fail!"... While Nokia Belle is a newly developed OS that is inspired from Maemo5 and is based on:
I also blame the Nokia naming convention for keeping the old names even for their new developments that are really user friendly and functional.
