Why not stick with a PC gaming setup or laptop? It's more versatile anyway, though of course they usually sell for a high price. A gaming PC with RTX 2070 already can handle the newest Unreal Engine 5 demo leaked previously.

What, 29 May 2020Dearest Xbox, it is with deep regret and sadness that i am gonna break this obvious news to yo... moreBecause there are a lot of people who want to play old games in new consoles ( me included ). Graphics is not everything in a game.I'm a PlayStation fan but it sucks that PS5 did backwards compatibility only for PS4 ( my opinion )

Kmin, 29 May 2020Oh, when I see the PS fanbase talking... Being objective isn't their strong point. I'd like... morei don't find any point in having an Xbox you can get all those games and services on a PC. PlayStation had better exclusives in all the generations, also they offer better service , aftersale support and discounts.

Dearest Xbox, it is with deep regret and sadness that i am gonna break this obvious news to you. Life is not about going backwards but moving forward. Why in the world will I buy a console just for the sake of old titles. If you want my money anytime in the future, you must dethrone playstation exclusives and futuristic mindset. Else, your just fooling yourselves or rather deceiving your selves.

Oh, when I see the PS fanbase talking... Being objective isn't their strong point.

I'd like to remind folks saying "teraflops are not everything" and "you won't see a difference in multiplatform titles" how the PS folk was orgasmic about PS4 initially having half a teraflop more and running games in 1440p compared to 900p on Xbox One. Then you could see differences and now you don't?

Same goes with the exclusive titles - when you don't have arguments in the hardware department you retreat to the software one, forgetting along the way that exclusives are a small fraction of what people play nowadays. Not only most of the played games run better on Xbox, but there's more Games As A Service titles, which will definitely benefit from the backward compatibility and additional perks that Series X brings to the table.

teraflops this, teraflops that... Xbox One X is supposedly more powerful than PS4 Pro but you can't even tell. Xbox barely has any worthwhile exclusives and multiplats look and feel the same on both. Where's the extra power at?
Teraflops is just the cool buzzword to throw around in 2020, just like "bits" were during the console wars back in the 90s. You had 32 and 64 bit consoles competing against 16 bit consoles and in most cases 16-bit consoles were better anyway because the "extra bits" were all just marketing BS. Teraflops are absolutely meaningless in this context.

120 FPS sounds like gaming on a console could actually be okay in future. 60 jst isn't good enough, but 120 sounds good!

I wanted to buy a very powerful desktop computer but I will buy a great and cheaper laptop and a gaming console. Lenovo offers a great one with 1700 dollars. More powerful than any Dell and HP even with slightly high price.

PS5 should be cheaper with its lesser tflops, and the exclusive games are more tempting. You can play exclusive Xbox games in PC but not with PS. So, PS5 All the way!

Seems like Microsoft realized this as an opportunity to flex some chip prowress. And really one up Sony. Where as both had been so stubborn about it before Sony might not have even seen it coming.
