Whackcar, 31 May 2020You'd rather have the gimmickry trash phones of today. I love technology, but phones were far ... moreHow the heck do you even make that statement towards me. I said I had flashbacks to old android days. Android is an OS not a smartphone. ( Quoting you: "You'd rather have the gimmickry trash phones of today.")
And yes I stand by my point, the OS is far more stable and usable now than it was back in the beginnings. Also referring to your "practicabillity".
I can understand you are fed up with modern gimmicky smartphone releases. I too would like a streamlined, no BS (practical) smartphone that still offers modern specs.
I still have mine up and working, bought since spring 2015. Just change it's battery in spring last year and still can hold for a day. But in the meantime I got a Pixel 3A XL because the Nexus was becoming sluggish. I keep it as a backup phone.

I currently have the Xperia XZ which is 5.2" so I've been looking for a replacement in the near future and the S10e was in my shortlist... But now that Sony released the Xperia 1 II, I am eagerly waiting for the 5 II to see if it match the longer sibling's specs...
I want to keep using a side fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack, front facing stereo speakers, microSD card slot...
Had my NEXUS 6 until 2 weeks ago! Google and Motorola stopped supporting them a couple of years ago. The battery was crapping out on me! Just bought a brand new Pixel 2XL.
I have a picture took with Nexus 6 when I was at Yellowstone, it still looks amazing, even after 5 years.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2020No it isn't. The S20+ still has more screen area regardless of the aspect ratio. If you watched a 16:9 movie on a 6.9" 20:9 screen the movie would have the equivalent size of a 5.78" screen with 1.125" black borders either side
Whackcar, 31 May 2020Well, it seems the demand for larger screen phones have skyrocketed in recent years. See the b... moremy choice for phone size remain 5.2 for all the time . The difference is the aspect ratio changed so 5.2 back then is about 6 for now . s10e fit perfectly in my hand .
Weren't for the Nexus 5's small battery, I would have defended it as the best in the series. It was like the Poco F1 back then but software is by Google
One of the absolute best phones I've ever owned.
Superb screen, superb resolution, snappy, dual stereo speakers, a joy to work with.
Actually I'd be glad if someone revived it as it is. It was that good.
Kingsley, 01 Jun 2020Because it had a 16:9 screen watching videos on it is still bigger than the 6.9" on the S20 +No it isn't. The S20+ still has more screen area regardless of the aspect ratio.
i was planning to get one when reviews started to pour in reporting poor camera results and tint in amoled display , i went for the note 4 and never looked back , been a note loyalist since then
Because it had a 16:9 screen watching videos on it is still bigger than the 6.9" on the S20 +
One of the best phones i have! If you have it then you know the mix feelings and the contests we have back then.Hail to the king! Never forget!
ajay, 01 Jun 2020one of the best phones I ownedI ended up getting 2x Nexus 6 (one new for backup)! Great phone for those with big hands & in need of GPS Navigation. I really can't complain to be honest. Now running a well polished crDroid custom Android Q/10 ROM. Visit XDA for the ROM!
Cheers

You claim you had a bad experience with this device, I'm sure you did. I on the other hand had a perfectly satisfying experience with this phone, and so did my mother.
We can't make a verdict on a device based on individual reviews. We make verdicts based on the majority, and the majority had a very pleasant experience with this phone. You can look it up on any forums or websites if you want proof. That is all.

This was by far the worst model i've ever owned. The battery life was horrible. The camera was horrible. All apps using camera was lagging. The backpiece fell off winter time because of the glue not working in freezing temperatures in Sweden. To top it of Motorola had the worst service of all. Never ever ever again a Motorola phone.

Andreidinutu, 31 May 2020Keep hearung people:"old design";"bezels". Those are things i appreciate. Makes phones unique.... moreThe iPhone bezels were ridiculed because of its size and they stayed with it for a lengthful 4 years time. It's not a problem in daily usage but when other brands are making effort in making smaller phones, Apple doesn't look like they're trying. I remembered when LG G2, G3, Sharp Aquos Crystal and Mi Mix were reviewed, they look like they were ahead of time. Nowadays, bezels have been pushed too far that the notch was made but most people didn't mind.
