Sale-to-end-user number should always be smaller than the shipment number. But their data of Apple sale is overstated by ~20% in relative terms, how is that more accurate? Per your logic, Gartner has actually exaggerated Apple's sale number by a lot more than 20%, maybe 30%, in relative terms?

The other ones are just shipments which do not mean all of that got in the hands of the consumers. So Gartner statistic is more accurate.

Gartner's data is not consistent with that from four other market research firms: Counterpoint, Canalys, IDC and Strategy Analytics. Apple's sale number is seriously overstated.
