Paying 45$ and still being forced to use AAA batteries like it was 1990 is a big joke from Sega. There was a reason why this failed back in its time and it seems Sega stills has its head on its ass on this regard
And thats without getting started on the size and game selection

The big problem of this console is the serious lack of games... only 4! Just 4 games for each mini Game Gear. It should be only 1 model with at least 25 games on it, and the console could have been a little bigger in order to place a decent screen.
I love Sega, but i see this as a wasted opportunity.
I think people buying this will most likely make it as a keychain rather than playing games on it or probably buy it as limited edition collectibles by some game collectors.
smh at all these comments thinking this was intended for the global market. You people know absolutely nothing about Japan.
How long before they realize that their old classics can be emulated on modern smartphones with ease. Not to mention upscaled.
60th anniversary? More like 30th.=)
I would definitely buy one if the screen was like 2.5 or 3 inches.
1 inch? C'mon now...
why at companies so stupid. Most people will ignore just because of screen size
Seems like a sad money grab. Who wants to play old games on a 1.1 inch screen when most phones are 6 inch+?
Wow SEGA, way to embarrass yourself
One could argue that the Nomad was also a handheld console. Much like the Game Gear is a portable Master System the Nomad was a portable Genesis/Mega Drive
