I find the camera reviews at GSMArena much more reliable than DxOMark's.

Just saying....

[deleted post]How exactly are the recent chinese flagships like oneplus 8 and 7 series, xiaomi mi series , oppo etc considered having 'garbage' build quality? Do you do your own 'build quality' tests?

Of course OP doesn't oversaturate as much as Samsung, but it still over saturates more than iPhone and Pixels. Sony is the only smartphone which produces closest to the true colours.

Plenty of Youtubers have verified it.
DxOMark and other sites get review units earlier, with pre release software.

The camera is on par with Find X2 pro and MI 10 Pro and other flagships except telephoto.
Whoever says Huawei p40 pro photos are one generation ahead needs to lay off the smoking pipe.

"DxO highly recommends the OnePlus flagship to serious photographers."

I'm not gonna lie here - while I don't really trust DxOMark, I definitely agree with that. I saw GSMArena's photo sample of the OP8 Pro and I was seriously impressed with the photo quality. If I cannot afford to buy the Sony Xperia 1 ii, this would be the one I pick.

Phones fan, 05 Jun 2020My mistake ;) I mean it is a helpful websitei certainly believe you. actually i was convinced it was a mistake but i could not let it slide... :))))

on the other hand... the answer is valid for vivooneplusoppo4ever too: i do not trust a lot in dxomark. the way they rank the phones is flawed BY DEFINITION. when you use a ranking system based on points you have BY DEFINITION to use a well defined, repeatable, checkable system. as long as you take pictures in dynamically, randomly changing settings, as in change in the colour, intensity, etc, any other parameter that defines the quality, for instance, of the light and lightning of the scene, when selecting different magnification cropping in the picture samplings, etc, etc, etc you CANNOT assign a mark, a number to be used in a ranking system. everything should be done in IDENTICAL settings, which is not the case with dxomark. the way they do their job aloud (and i suspect this happening...) you to take a hundred pictures and select the one that fits best you agenda.

ok, i do not have that much time to waste here. the idea is: for me dxomark is a completely unreliable source for accurate ranking, the way they claim to perform.
