If it would cost the same amount of money, I think everybody will go for the better known manufacturer. Sadly, is not the case. In Czech Republic the Samsung A71 (with SD730), cost double of the Xiaomi Redmin Note 8 Pro. Maybe the UI on Samsung is better and a little more stable in the long run, but the difference in usage is not double.
People buy Xiaomi, Realme or Oppo phones not because they are fanboys of that brands, or because they "run for hardware specs", they buy those phones because they offer a similar experience at half the price. And when you are not very rich or don't want to spend a lot of money on a phone, price becomes an important factor in choosing phones.

OnePlus releases 2 to 3 phones each year (technically 4-5 but the T version is just a refinement), that means enough time and resources to optimise their software, that is why they offer the best user experience with best software support in android.
If a OnePlus with sd720G and optimised oxygen os existed, it would've blown all those xiaomi/realme mid-rangers in day to day performance.

It could be a nice alternative to Pixel 4a for people who prefer bigger screens. Me personally even won't read its specs.

Thus being said, it is more expensive, if the rumors surrounding the OnePlus Z are true and its 330EUR price.

Realme X3 will kill this guy before birth. Oneplus nomore budget friendly company to make affordable phones. Do not invest more than 15-20k for smartphone nowadays if you are not going to use it for more than 2-3 years. Nowadays every 7 series soc from Qualcomm and Mediatek midrange soc are more than capable of handling 90% of our stuffs except benchmark scores and high end gaming.
