16GB Ram may be useless now but it will be useful in near future. It is the minimum amount for computers if you want smooth performance. I will upgrade to 64GB Ram for a computer if you ask me.

Here's a complete list of reasons why you should have more than 8GB on a phone:
1) You can show off to your 15 year old friends, they will be total shocked to see your RAM ammount (unless they actually know anything about the mobile tech)
And that's literally it. I'm sure everyone is itching to pay $100 extra for something they'll never use.
