In my case, I had to put the google sear... moreMaybe try with a launcher like Nova Launcher or another one.
Personally I wanted my home screen to have no icons so my wallpaper (that change at each unlock) could be seen without disturbances...
But since sadly we can't hide the bottom icons for a single page only, I simply did manually set those icons on all pages except on the home one, it work really well.

In my case, I had to put the google search bar at the very bottom to boost the 5 fixed icons up so that they are more ergonomically reachable. I hate top bezels but I have absolutely no issue with a chin.

But anyway, it depend how you hold your phone, there are many ways to handle a phone, that's why while some have no issues with curved displays, other have a hard time doing anything with them.
For example, my OnePlus 6t have really thin lower bezel and I have no issues with the icons.
Also you can use something like Nova Launcher who let you tweak it as you want.

Bottom bezels are good for ergonomics. It makes it way easier to reach the fixed icons at the bottom.

The Nubia Play, Red Magic 5G, Black Shark 3 Pro and Meizu 16 are good exemple.
The Nubia Play have a top bezel with camera whose size is really close to this One Fusion+.
So while I mainly advocate pop up, a simple bezel of the size of its chin would make more senses than a pop up or any punch hole/notch (which is a scheme that repeat often sadly) in this case.

Downgraded selfie doesn't matter. 730 with 6GB ram is a decent upgrade vs. 675 and 4GB ram. With the increased battery capacity and the fact that 730 is more efficient, this phone should last a long time.
In addition to the White one, I wish there was an all black version though.

Downgraded selfie camera; don't care. Slower charge speed, still acceptable to me. It's great that Moto use SD 7xx this time instead of 6xx like the Hyper. That LCD tho, better has 90hz to go along with the HDR. On a side note, I believe this is the only phone in at least 2 years that has white front body for it's white back body.

Not sure about paying more than 200 eur for a phone with 60hz screen in 2020, but hot damn, the Moonlight white looks really good
