Not so monstrous if it is 675, it has to be at least 720G, else there is nord for reasonable price with 765G and moreover 5G enabled.
samsung was back the new A and M series. now i can see them drowning with there outdated specs and high prices.
Samsung is fooling people. They are offering outdated processors that are underclocked. After 1 year usage even their top models lag badly after update. This shows they are not serious players anymore. India is a huge potential market that they lost due to their stupidity. All they care for is numbers. Indian market is not a dumping ground.
Sc, 10 Jun 2020Samsung is a tech giant which is always focused on high end devices after they failed to sell ... moreIf the samsung m31 would have a sd720g it would have been sold like hot cakes. Most of the peoplt don't like MIUI due to many boltwares that consume phone memory otherwise MIUI is good but to regain the market share again from xiomi samsung need a good mid range exynos processor.i think at the end of this year they will launch a new midrange processor which will replace 9611 and will power the m32 and m32s
Samsung recently launched one M series smartphone which seem to be outdated. The M 01, 3 GB ram 32 GB storage is not enough in 2020.
At this price point they are giving SD 450 processor. And the screen is not even IPS LCD,it's TFT at 720 p screen. It remind about the Samsung J series smartphone
Viper, 10 Jun 2020Why a SD675??.They should atleast use 720g or 730 would have been great but it will be priced ... moreAll samsung phones are using outdated or low powerful chips.
By the name of Exynos, nobody notice that.
Even their Exynos Flagship phones are underpowered
9611 is their own soc.. They release cheap mid rangers only to clear their old stuff... Which has no value for them... As mentioned, Samsung is not interested in lower mid rangers...
Who care about SD665 anymore. When samsung produce phone always it is already outdated in the market. The price describe as if Samsung produce it the first time than others.
Samsung is a tech giant which is always focused on high end devices after they failed to sell mid rangers. To keep market rotating they will definitely produce low mid rangers and they will stick to low end processors like Exynos 9611. Xiaomi and Realme are using Snapdragon 730G and 720G processors and they are selling well like hot cakes.
Samsung's mid-rangers suck, they are worst in terms of look, camera and performance and the price is way too high.
Vicky7420, 10 Jun 2020If they use SD 720G in M series then no one literally no one bothered looking at what A series... moreYes absolutely but sadly the M series uses the exynos 9611 which is quite slow.If samsung used the 720g in place of 9611 then it could have taken the market share of xiomi and realme but no they still think that consumers don't know about processors just like old days.If anyone wanted a sd675 then can go for redmi note 7 pro in much lower price. And did M40 also uses sd675 isn't it??

I thought the difference in price was due to the online availability only of M series. Apart from in display fingerprint scanner and the better aesthetics, M series seems on par with the A series. It would be interesting to know where the cost cutting is being done from an actual user.

M31 directly competes with A51(both have same chipset), likewise M51 would be directly competing with A71 and will most probably come with snapdragon 730.
Considering the price difference between A51 and A71, M31 and A51, it could be priced between 26-28k INR.
*Oneplus with snapdragon 765 will own it, if priced below 26k INR.

Vicky7420, 10 Jun 2020If they use SD 720G in M series then no one literally no one bothered looking at what A series... moreI am having both A50 & M30s, & from my experience I have learnt that M series is not even close to A series in real life usage, Samsung has done a lot of cost-cutting in their M series, both in the hardware & software section, which also partially explains the significant price difference in the two series.
