Hi from Portugal
Have the same problem with the green screen
I can't believe that Samsung are charging screen replacement, when it was them that created the issue.
I'm going to try to contact Samsung here in Portugal and see what they say.
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2021You can't fix it. A new screen is required. Original Samsung screen, brand new - AU$429. ... moreActually in Indonesia this happened for Free last year, since this is secret repair service so no public knew, but since the public have known this, samsung charged 50% for repairing,
It means samsung knew this is manufacturing defect, so you should send private email even to the CEO of samsung because there is option for sending to CEO in samsung contacts, Do Not PAY for the defect, they knew it around the world but only secretly repairing for free or 50% discount
Same happen here, this is a manufacture defect, we pay a top dollar for a Samsung Flagship, and expect to use for a few years, being a supporter of Samsng for few years these really push me away, if I will evey buy Samsung product again.
Anniyan001, 11 Oct 2021I too got it from august 2021... donno how to fix itYou can't fix it. A new screen is required. Original Samsung screen, brand new - AU$429. My Note 9 overheated while charging straight after the latest software update. And then the screen turned green and all flickery.
Nothing else helped. OLED Saver helped a bit, but only for a while.
Major rip of and true shame for Samsung. This is a manufacturing defect that should be fixed at no cost to customers. A lawsuit is the only way to achieve anything in this case.
DC, 24 Sep 2021Just happen to me last night, out of sudden... I too got it from august 2021... donno how to fix it
My wife's Note 9 developed the same fault after the latest update- a green flickery screen. It seems to be a hardware issue related to tab-bonding between ribbon cable contacts and the screen. The phone got really hot while charging, after the latest update. Overheating is most likely the root cause here...large heat dissipation inside the phone slowly loosening the tab bonds. I think this was done on purpose by samsung. The issue is widespread and quite common - Samsung should be replacing these screens due to manufacturing defects.
Anyway, my kids and I have all moved to iPhones. My wife will be next very soon.
I will never let samsung products (any samsung product) enter my household again.
the screen will look dark under oled saver especially when using screenshot.....
A better fix is to download an app "OLED Saver" (developed by MrJS). The app controls the screen brightness. Atleast the phone will be usable after this.
Foysal, 09 Jul 2021Same happened with me.. get you any solution?I am also facing Green screen issue on note 9. Always on option as mentioned in various you tube videos is not serving the purpose
I am also using Samsung Note 9 since 1.6 years. Suddenly this issue started in my phone also. Samsung should admit it either it is software bug or quality issue in their display. What is Solution?
Quite surprising to end up with a troubled phone after the update. The phone was working fine and suddenly, the screen... Now its all green and hazy.
After the recent Android update, the phone also used to heat-up quite a bit.
SAMSUMG what is my fault as a customer?
akoito okba, 04 May 2021two days ago my phone/ note 9 was working ok. then this greenish screen nightmare begin. when ... moreSame here. My note 9 is from oct 2019. Day before yesterday got an update. Bam. Screen went green with rapid flickering from 20 to 80 percent brightness. Samsung asked me to visit service center and cough up approx 15k for a screen replacement. We should take them to court. They are deliberately doing this to brick devices to loot more money either from repair or sales. After three flagships from them, i will now shift for sure. My iphone 5s from 2015 still works like a charm.
