Stop spreading lies about this case again. The woman suffered THIRD-DEGREE burns from coffee, which McDonalds has known was far too hot for consumption, for years.

Good move, I say. Most people don't even bother to read the article at all in the first place.

You might as well put people in straitjackets and padded rooms, but even they they'll find some way to harm themselves.

McDonald's has "Caution: Hot" labels on their hot cups of hot coffee because what do you know, some lady didn't understand that hot coffee is, in fact, hot.

What a useless feature. Tell that to all publications and media not to use misleading headlines, and let's hear some crickets.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2020Sure, as if it's the companies' fault for their users' utter incompetence. In fact, yes it is. A lot of products contain disclaimers so that the company may claim they warned their consumers about the dangers of their products, even if these dangers are obvious. When the consumers are warned, then they can claim to not being responsible. But sometimes, courts rule that even this is not enough and that companies should do more to adequately protect their consumers.

Twitter here is doing just that: warn that sharing news without even reading it is dumb and even dangerous (for democracy and more, let's not forget news that broke about some people believing in purely fake news and then committing crimes).

But reading is so hard. I see the title that says "SHOCKING: Liberals want to allow mass killings" and I see the picture. That should be enough for me to share and call for imprisonment for all liberals around the world and for everyone that disagrees with me to be doxxed. I only read when it's worth it, like that story about that average mother that discovered this one weird trick that caused her to be hated by doctors around the globe.

(If it wasn't obvious, /s. That's great to finally have, even if social media are designed to be cancerous places where constructive discussion is forbidden and emotions are better than reasonable thoughts)
