John, 11 Jun 2012Suuurreeee... and thats why nokias rule the benchmark tests. NOT!!!
The SGS2 was quicker an... moreits because of the improvement in processor....but only one processor is doing/working at a time.
do single core pentium 1 and single core pentium 4 work the same? i mean both are single core....

It's simply that Intel didn't reach for multi-core in smartphones so they have to say such a thing to cover their failure in this field.
Then can they tell us why HD games on single core overclocked to 1.6 GHZ are still lag while in dual core 1.2 GHZ like in SGS2 they don't lag?
Because Android can benefit from multi-core otherwise those games should lag too on dual core.
And a bold statement like that doesn't mean a proof for what they are saying, We need tests to prove that INTEL.
And of course WP/Nokia fanboys have to act lame for such a lame bold statement since they still left behind on 2010 technology... I real feel sorry for them.
abhi, 11 Jun 2012do u even know what the hell u r talking abt?
these are not marketing talks done by intel... ... moreYou are both right. Plus the Intel cpu is more like an intel cpu and desktop cpu's have much more power to them.
They are also just pointing out already know data and pushing it to the extreme one side. As I stated already. Everyone knew none of the os's fully support multi cores, but they are not completely useless either.
I've always thought this...I seen how Android doesn't get any better with multi-core processors...
I've always said this!
Everyone please note that all they are telling us is something everyone already knew. That our mobile OS'S do not fully support multi cores yet. Not that they do not at all. Also just means when they get better and better that your device will support it and be more efficient where as if you buy older hardware it will die out quicker. Just because it is not fully utilized yet does not make it a waist.
Suuurreeee... and thats why nokias rule the benchmark tests. NOT!!!
The SGS2 was quicker and smoother than the SG......
The SGS3 is quicker and smoother than the SGS2.....
I wonder why this is??? maybe its the bigger screen or is it the bigger batteries... ??? IDIOTS!!
I wont agree.. He must be telling an excuse.
Just watch some big video movies (MKV etc) on iphone or android with single core and with dual cores mobiles. Definitely its smoother in dual.
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2012Well, those are marketing talk. If i only have a single core processor, of course i will have ... moredo u even know what the hell u r talking abt?
these are not marketing talks done by intel... what they are saying is true. a single core intel mobile processor beats dual core A9 arm processors with huge margin and is almost equivalent(and even greater in some aspects) to dual core A15 arm processors.
This is called true optimization!!!
intel android is open source so make your own version when you ship your phones.
yes intel is right that android doesnt know how to use muliti cores
Ilnaro made ICS 4.0.4 100% faster by optimizing it for muliti cores and GPUs
p.s Cyanogenmod will be using this build
Well, what he intends to say is quite correct, android's coding is messy and power utilization quite poor... But, it can all be improved with modifications and corrections in the codes. The question is who??? The OEMs are busy pumping out overpowered beasts and they care the least if the spec sheet looks amazing. In this matter i would say Apple's and Micrsoft's implementation is really commendable, clearly showing that they are called software giants for a reason.
we have been saying this for ages. Android need MAJOR improvements in this area, but android fans and wanna be geeks can't see this. if android was optimized properly we wouldn't have seen dual cores in mobiles for another 2 years, phones would have better gpus instead.
LOL! The statement comes from a firm that only has a single-core solution for Android, don't you think this is a little bit suspicious?
I will only fault the OEMs such as Samsung and HTC who actually came up with this multi core craze just to make more profit, rather than enlighten customers about the os. And to those who always think Sony/ Ericsson is always behind, pls try to read up things and learn before you start talking trash about them. Mobile OS is not like laptops and computers where multi core and very large rams are needed. It's about efficient performance of device devoid of very many hardware components like MULTI CPUs and some other stuffs. SAMSUNG FANS learn from this info from intel. Thanks y'all.
Well said, but still 2 head is better than 1!!
what Nokia is doing is to make a single core more efficient thats okay, but they will soon move to Dual core and keep on moving...!
Tech is advancing!!
