As much as I want to buy a Samsung phone in the mid range, there is no good offering from Samsung. Xiaomi and other Chinese companies offers Snapdragon 720/730 chipsets and overall better hardware around the same price. No wonder Samsung is not able to compete. At least upgrade the processor, Samsung. Give us Snapdragon 720/730.

Hey GSMa, looking forward to a review and battery endurance of the M31... The M30s with its 6000mah battery at 130h is not much, considering a ROG II with a flagship SoC and gaming chops throws up a 132. And of course, the Realme 6i getting 186h with its 5000mah battery. Would be great if your team can pester Samsung press office for the M31 or maybe start right away for the M31s.

Looks like Samsung is following Huawei's footstep the whole year.
First the overrated S20 ultra camera advertisements then now using the same SoC for 3 years(counting 9610 same as 9611) ?
We understand Huawei's shortcomings. They have ban on them. So, Huawei is just refreshing old phone as new only so that they are google supported.

But why Samsung why ?
Also refreshing same model 4 times since last 15 months is also a bad idea.
It might make short term good profit but In the long term Samsung is going to suffer.
It's gonna lost it's reputation if they continue to behave like what they have been doing since 2019.

I hope Samsung Mobile division doesn't become the next Nokia/IBM.

Again a phone with that slow and old 9611 they should atleast lauch a exynos that can compete with 730 or atleast 712 but no they will always a slow processor in midrange phones.Again they will launch a midrange processor that will succed the 9611 at the end of this year and they will use it in m32, m32s,m22 and in other A series

Samsung really needs to stop this, whatever it is called. Certainly not an upgrade.

M30s to M31 can hardly be called an upgrade. The 48MP to 64MP jump might sound huge, but in real-life tests, the phones produce very similar photos.

I would love to see a Qualcomm 720G or 730G chipset...but I guess I am too wishful/Samsung is not that smart.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2020If that was the case then their low end would have a 9611. They're clearly not taking it seriously. The chipset you use depends on performance you want for a phone, not cost, the 9611 is similar (a hair better) than a SD665 is just that to samsung it costs much less than buying qualcomm the 665.
