Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020Battery works differently compared to camera. It doesn't take einstein to understand that dude... moreYeah. Also, western brands have also used dual-battery systems on folding phones. So dual-batteries are only gonna get more common going forward.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has two batteries (2100mAh & 2135mAh) combing into 4,235 mAh.
So the guy blaming Chinese companies for "fooling customers" need to backpedal from his statements.
I see some foolish comments below moaning about how it's two charging coils @ 32.5w charging two separate batteries instead of one coil @ 65w charging one larger battery. Well, duh we already know that. BBK products share a lot of the hardware & technologies, and thus we've already seen this 65w (or 32.5x2w) charge on Oppo flagships. It doesn't really matters though. Users care about end-results not procedure. 65w native charge would obviously generate more heat, and wouldn't really perform any differently to 32.5x2w charge. It's a efficient solution. I believe it's gonna become far more common going forward, and western brands will also implement this solution.
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020You again with same dumb speech like robot? It matters because there is no 65W, but 32.5W.... moreBattery works differently compared to camera. It doesn't take einstein to understand that dude. 2 batteries of 3000 mah will total 6000 no matter how much you shout that it is not a case, same for charging. If charging 2 batteries at half rate gives full charge to battery, then it is none of our business to see it correct? if that is case, would you say that EVs have 3000 mah battery? since that is the capacity of AA cell
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020You again with same dumb speech like robot?
It matters because there is no 65W, but 32.5W.... moreDay by day so called Chinese brands are getting stronger and better jusk look at this year's Oppo and xiaomi flagship
Chinese brands were winning a race in 5G system if US didn't put sanctions on them
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020Hold it. You mean a phone with ip rating should not be taken to a pool? But why? lmao.
No w... moreCompanies used to advertise waterproofing with people taking phones to the pool and lakes.
But considering there will always be units not that well made, some will be damaged by being submerged.
This is why companies changed how they advertise waterproofing. Now as "do not worry if an accident happens, your phone will survive if you drop in the toilet or get caught in the rain".
Of course, since there is waterproofing, warranty should cover all cases except sea water.
Not just eventual accidents.
Android Master, 14 Jun 2020You again coming here with same arguments like a Robot?
Two cells or 3 cells doesn't matter.
... moreYou again with same dumb speech like robot?
It matters because there is no 65W, but 32.5W.
Clients are being fooled.
It is like using two cameras of 16Mp and say phone has 32MP camera.
No surprise, chinese brands always do it, like using Full Frame to advertise camera, software to boost antutu score etc ....
Make it with underscreen selfie camera, so i can finally upgrade
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020Probably 2 batteries being charged at 32.5W like Oppo, but advertised as 65W.
You again coming here with same arguments like a Robot?
Two cells or 3 cells doesn't matter.
End result is the same, it's twice as fast as 30W charging.
Fastest charging on the market currently unlike garbage companies sticking to ancient 18W fast charging tech.
News came out that 8T Pro has been cancelled. Any chance that it is on the cards again? I am about to buy the 8Pro and any chance of the 8T Pro coming out will stop me from buying the former. I desperately need to know.
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020Absolute lies. The software update might have "mitigated" the issues for some but many others ... moreYeah, they should allow you to change the screen if you have an issue. Not sure whether they do or not though
Well now that's another good reason to choose Oneplus over Oppo and Realme. It's really odd to see Oneplus omit such a feature that was present since the Find X and also in the Realme X2 Pro and a MIDRANGER Oppo R17.

The software update might have "mitigated" the issues for some but many others have seen no improvement. It is a hardware fault. There are units manufactured in May that are still showing this problem.

The reason why it's not implemented much is because of cost and space. Most brands want to cut the cost so they decide to create a problem that people have to get use to it: the notch.
wbpwns, 14 Jun 2020They let realme used the 65w charging before oneplus, which surprised me. Oppo used to have... moreYeah, exactly. Oppo was mainly sold in small cities in China offline and their phones were/are expensive for the specs due to huge amounts being spent on traditional advertising methods like TV adverts and celebrity endorsers. They targeted people who had no interest in specs but just wanted a decent camera and relatively stylish phone. The Oneplus basically added a flagship processor to the r series but targeted overseas markets more than the home market initially. I'm using Oppo now but it is still only popular in smaller cities and relies on deals with the telecom providers. You see very few Oppo devices being used by people from the big cities.
There DEFINITELY WONT BE A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE! The 65w super charge will not come to the one plus 8t!! Maybe a small bump in specs or camera or the design (in the smallest of ways) but rest assured this super charge will not be seen on the 8t. Stay Woke! Peace!
Doubt it, more likely come out on OnePlus 9 or 9 pro. So OnePlus can Jack up the price. It more likely be 8t would get wireless charging.

Oppo used to have no flagship chipset phones. They had the r series until r17 pro then switched to reno and revived find x series. I tried their first gen vooc 20w and it's good. But less than 2 years and battery life is already worse than what I expected.
Oneplus used to be the flagship sibling of oppo during those years their best phones were midrange r series.
wbpwns, 14 Jun 2020So big bro oppo finally lets his younger bro play with his latest invention 65w chargingYeah, it all filters down to Oneplus. They have even started using Oppo's voice assistant on their China phones
