TechLad, 16 Jun 2020Tbf mate. I've just looked on the ROG phone 3 specs on TENAA's website and its weighing in at ... moreThen some other parts added weight back IDK, like the vents in the back of the ROG Phone 2, they're gone on the 3.
-200mah is justified just because they have 5G. SD865 is actually energy efficient while powerful so the Endurance Rating will probably be the same as last years. Sad that the DAC powered headphone jack isn't added while its earlier rival Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro has brought back the headphone jack.
So what, I have to use USB-C earphones while charging my phone through 2nd USB-C at the same time? Since it's 2020, they should already figure that more than 10 year old issue out.
5800mah? Thats a downgrade for sure. Plus it will be together with a 144hz screen which will suck the battery dry. Im not too sure with this. Could have 30mins-1 hour worst battery life overall compared to the Rog Phone 2
I love how they say "a huge 5800 mAh battery" and the previous model has 6000
I want to know this are the OG pics of the mobile or just render image ... Coz that mobile looks not that attractive ...and why are they reducing display size ?
apprise, 16 Jun 2020Tbh buddy a dip from 6000 to 5800 isn't a big difference and SD 8x series are battery and powe... moreActually while camera improvements are needed they definitely optimized the rog 2 cam. They just could have done better.
tech guy, 16 Jun 2020to be honest you are not going to find a phone with THE STRONGEST CPU IN THE MARKET TO THIS DA... more16gb RAM, 512gb storage variant won't be costing 600 dollars.
It would be minimum 1000 dollars.
X41, 16 Jun 2020Rog 3 lite with 5000mah and 6 inch phone will be perfect for mePlz no lite, plus, pro version garbage.
Refreshing to see a phone with just one version.
apprise, 16 Jun 2020Tbh buddy a dip from 6000 to 5800 isn't a big difference and SD 8x series are battery and powe... more30W was already available on ROG 2.
Besides, Gcam was available on both cams completely transforming the camera.
JohN, 16 Jun 20206.59 inch ? , thats small for a gaming phone , we need a big beautiful high refresh rate displ... moreTbh buddy a dip from 6000 to 5800 isn't a big difference and SD 8x series are battery and power efficient so I don't think you'll see a noticeable difference.
30 watts is completely fine lol. It's a huge upgrade from the 6000 mah battery with a 18 watt charge in ROG 2
Software I don't think there's much improvements ( u say huge but ROG UI was close to stock and u had the option to switch to ZenFone 6 UI)
Camera quality yes is needed. Shame it had the imx586 but Asus didn't optimse the software in it
144hz refresh rate at the moment is pointless hardly any games support it . (People got excited for red magic 144hz but cod mobile or pubg doesn't support it)
The screen size I don't think it needs to be any bigger as it is. People will start complaining about it, how it's a stretch to swipe down for notifications
Did u own the rog 2 because I don't know how u can say better Tigger buttons, they were perfect
ROG 2 had alot of accessories. I hope if they make a new version of the Kunai pad, that they make it compatible with any smartphone. That would boost sales alot tbh and would be a main competitor against the Samsung Glap
TheAndroidFreak, 16 Jun 2020European prices are always high. Don't know why. Crap prices for Europe no matter which phone ... more8/128 but yes, you're right.
Got one of those in August from China, ended up costing 650$ worth or so due to taxes and shipping, but it STILL cost less than when the Strix (8/128) came out in Europe (many months later might I add).
LilPhone, 16 Jun 2020Honkai Impact 3 only needs a phone like Redmi 4x/Note 4 to run the game smoothly at minimum gr... moreDude, why would you want to play the game at worst graphics possible, then can that phone handle the game at max graphic? I ask you. These phones are meant to play those game heavy smoothly without any lag.
You know they're serious because Qualcomm handed them
their fastest Snapdragon, and Asus answered :
"Ye it's cute but we need more, mind if we overclock that bad boy??"
6.59 inch ? , thats small for a gaming phone , we need a big beautiful high refresh rate display , i
thought we could see at least 6.7+ inch display ,
why do they shrink the battery ? thats a bad idea , i mean really really bad .. 5g , ya , not a big thing but having it is a nice thing , wireless charging ? nevermind ..
this are the things we wanted to see & the things that you should keep in rog 3 :-
(1) keep the 6000mah battry
(2) faster charging is needed to fill up the huge battery ... at least 40 watts + ( there are a lots of gaming smartphones out there which feature a 55w & even 65w , so 30w isn't enough )
(3) huge software improvements
(4) better camera quality & design
(5) new design ( make sure that it is a modern day design but still a gaming phone )
(6) better cooling system
(7) louder speakers
(8) 144hz refresh rate
(9) oled
(10) even 10 bit of you like
(11) smaller bezel
(12) important one , better trigger buttons
(13) 6.7+ inch ( like i said , 6.59 inch isn't a thing )
(14) keep the underscreen fingerprint scanner
(15) most important one , keep the headphone jack
(16) more accessories
(17) the price should be under $900
ya , there are a lot of other things to say , these are the important once..
btw asus *r.o.g* is one of my most favourite gaming brand so please asus , don't let me down!
( i hope you won't delete my comment )
TheAndroidFreak, 16 Jun 2020Last year Asus dropped good phone with not so great pricing in the form of Asus Zenfone 6. If ... moreYou're the type of person who wants flagship specs but the phone to cost the same as a mid range Realme. Dude the ZenFone 6 cost £500 and look at what u got. A flip camera with the main sensor being flagship Sony imx586, 5000mah battery, a UI that if u read some early reviews people thought it was stock, a hybrid SIM card (2 SIM cards and micro SD) and way more. They obviously had to cut corner like No IP rating, No wireless charging, IPS screen.
People probably chose the 7T because OnePlus are more of a reputable phone company, the specialise in phones. Whereas Asus their main area is laptops and PC. Maybe some people were put off by Asus previous phones. Before the ZenFone 6 their UI was super bloated and glitchy.
There's something called inflation and as technology advances and improved it gets more expensive. Stop living in a dream world where you think the high end things will cost the same as the budget versions
The back design is tamed and looks awful compared to the last model or even to the rivals.
IMHO. It should have more kick to it.

Increased battery capacity is a bonus.
