So Android is essentia... moreThe difference to distribute your app on android you don't need to use the play store. You can go through huawei's, or galaxy appstore, amazone app store and a plathora of other thirdparty marketplaces or release the executable file (.apk) directly. So you have massive choice in how to publish your app, and your potential users don't need to void their warranties to access these alternatives.

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2020Apple doesn't sell user data to make profits, LOL. It doesn't get any more misinformed than that. No they don't, they just use it to strengthen and promote their own products and services and crush any possible competition like all big companies do.

I won't say that Apple is not innovative but at the epicenter?
You should be sued for your statement.

That data center they manage those payments in is sure the highest maintenance data center in the world. 61 billion dollars per year, to keep some servers running.

This is why you shouldn't buy Apple hardware, boys and girls. 61 billion dollars per year to maintain a few Apple devices. You heard it from Apple themselves.

Apple has been at the epicenter of global innovation over the last decade and a top consumer electronics company. Perhaps innovation happens in different ways to how you think it does.

By the time Europe finished the investigations, Apple would made billions in profit to cover the small fine handed out. Simple maths for Apple to do.

Apple has all the right to charge what they want. What are companies like rakuten thinking? Apple isn't a democracy. They've worked hard to build what they have. They don't sell user data to make profits. Rakuten, netflix and all should try to stick with their own devices and app ecosystems if they don't want to use Apple ecosystems

Android Master, 16 Jun 2020"the Cupertino-based company is stifling innovation and limits the consumer choice" That i... moreProblem is that Android was always seen as a place for user choice but they are slowly becoming Apple with the number of Google services pre loaded.

You've only got to look at the comments on any Huawei article to see that people have become so secretly enslaved that they now say they can't live without Google Mobile Services.

Hopefully more Android device manufactures see that a break away from Google is not a bad thing and once again brings choice to the user.

So Android is essentially Apple lite going by the things.

Already you can't side load apps in Android TV when you download from play store browsers.

"the Cupertino-based company is stifling innovation and limits the consumer choice"

That is exactly what consumers have been saying for years.
This is exactly why Android is the OS of choice on smartphones.

So glad to be part of the premium Ecosystem of Android that encourages innovation and offers consumers a buffet of choices.
