It was a way better looking and way more usable phone with Snapdragon S2 @1ghz (it was about twice as powerful as the S1 in the x10 mini) it had multitouch and was updated to Android 4.0 some things may still run on it. Sony(Ericsson) made a few different phones on the same platform and all were super easy to unlock and modify that there was a ton of stuff for them on XDA.
Good phone

Its ... moreHi, you dont need mongol-play, there would be almost no compatible apps nowadays. You can get all applications you need as APK file from various site - apk4fun used to be great and you can find all older versions of appplications (you will have to try which one works). You download APK file and then open it in mobile, confirm installation.

Can somebody please help me. Newbie here. After seeing this I just had to buy 1 of these. Its on android firmware 2.1.
There are guides to get it to 2.2 so playstore will work but the webpages are old and the links are dead
Also 4.1 with bugs and cyg
Also do I have to unlock bootlocker first? Thanks
Alessia
I have a X10 Xperia but I have been told that Sony does not provide a chip for it anymore.
Is this true or is it possible to get a new ship for this marvelous phone?
If positive where can I get it?
Thanks for your attention

Ah really a trip to nostalgic moment for me.
Bough Xperia Mini with my savings back then. Really happy with how small it is, people always asking everytime I pulled it. I was using it until 2013 or something but shit happened and I sold the Mini to buy some food. Still sad about it.
It was an amazing phone, especially X10 Mini Pro with that little tiny practical keyboard.
I remember those days that I had X10 and my brother had X10 Mini Pro. Really missed Sony designs their timescape interface. Wish Sony makes its phones global available again. Albeit with much smaller bezels...

4G (LTE) is fine, you see it on smart watches and KaiOS phones - which seem to have about the same CPU and RAM and GPU specs as smart watches!
Software is the hard part hence why KaiOS is not very good. User interface is a problem too, phones 5 inches and bigger got popular because the virtual keyboard gets more usable or easy to use.
This one is funny though, I never knew virtual keypad is a thing.

The screen is much bigger than I need and the memory is much smaller than I need but there is nothing on the market to replace it with (I'd happily pay $1,000 which covers most phones on the market except they're all the size of tablets). I miss my first smart phone - a Blackberry Pearl 9100. As big as any phone needs to be - although a full face touch screen instead of the screen plus keyboard would have been an improvement.
My first android phone
Now if this phone was updated with a improved camera more ram bigger battery and mem would still be kickass phone like it use to be back in the day
New PALM smartphone was this cute tiny smartphone. Too bad it was so expensive. Otherwise a lot of people would buy it just because it's so tiny and cute.
The only way a compact phone will be launched now is if theres a new invention in battery. With the whole 4g and even 5g and processors needing a lot of battery juice, it's not possible for anyone to make a compact phone using Li ion batteries.
It can be made if people are ready to go for 3g and a somewhat slower processor which may not play all the gaming apps of nowadays and a lower resolution camera with decent sensors( which is all that's required in cam actually)
I would definitly buy it if release with up to date config. Shame there is tons of models and no small screens.
