Is this aluminum body and glass back or just the same with the A51's?

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2020No it's all plasticDidn't you see the pictures of the phone in this article? The antenna bands are so obvious. The 5G version is different from the regular version. Sheesh...

What's the pricing for US version?Because A71 is also having same chipset at 599$ which is competing with One Plus 8.

This is a truly well balanced phone for this price bracket: Amoled Screen, performance, Sdcard slot, Headphone Jack (with decent DAC), plastic back (durability muh!), decent battery size (5000mAh would have been better).

This is the phone to get in 2020 for anyone who doesn't really care about camera quality beyond basic use, aptx HD audio, superfast charge and doesn't want to sell their data to Chinese government. (Damn, that's me!)

The biggest complaint about past Samsung midrangers was the use of Exynos 96xx chipsets which compared to the competition are painfully slow. With Exynos 980 or SD 765G, it can now compete evenly.

Is the M51 going to be the Indian version without 5G, but with larger battery and better cameras? That would be a game changer.

When it will be available in India with Snapdragon processor? Currently processor using by samsung in maximum phones other than Snapdragon is not effective.

XCIV, 20 Jun 2020Why Snapdragon is only for US?In the USA carriers use different technology called CDMA instead of the other that europe uses(GSM), as far as I'm lead to believe Qualcomm have patents within CDMA and hence its Snapdragon chips being used in america, if Samsung wants to employ CDMA on it's own Exynos CPUs it would have to ask permission to do so, and if Qualcomm allowed this it would mean Qualcomm would look for royalties from samsung uses CDMA, this is one big reason Qualcomm has a monopoly in phones used within america, however it way also be to do with the two different 5G band width as well, mmWave vs sub-6GHz, mmWave is where the uber speed we've all been hearing about is, 6GHz 5G is slower but faster than 4G...and because of where those band width are on a scale may dictate what phone company are combating le with what band of 5G, I'm sure Verizon is only implementing mmWave hence it probably needs CDMA capable phones, GSM obviously has access to mmWave & 6GHz-5G it I'm unsure if any USA carriers can use GSM at all.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2020Frame is metal. Back is plastic.I wouldn't say plastic is bad. It's definitely lighter than glass and somehow more durable. But it's a personal preference

The Samsung A51 5G is a decently spec'd phone in every department. Much better than the A51.
I picked the Huawei P40 lite 5G over it (as my second phone) for the build quality. Not a fan of plastic back.

Samsung is on the right path. It just needs a long term price correction, slight improvement in camera hardware along with slight improvements in Computational Photography Algorithms.

I like how small the new punch holes are... I'd still much prefer pop-up or same camera in a small bezel, but if you compare it with how disgusting the DUAL punch holes are these days on some phones (Realme X50 or Huawei P40 Pro), it's seriously a bliss to see such a small dot in your display instead.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2020That's a really impressive phone , too bad the chipset is not up to the rest of the specs. Next What are you talking, the chipset is way better then exynos 9611..
