Tell their support team. They will issue a replacement or a voucher usually. They are ok with product support via Ali Express at least.

I've been using the OG Airdots for the last one year, and have face... moreI agree with your observation, although I'm not sure how many versions of this design there are (mine is called Mi Wireless Earbuds Basic without the low-latency mode). The only time connection went down is in proximity of Wi-Fi devices transferring at high speed, and was resolved by moving it away. Besides that moment, I can walk around a 15x10 sq meter workplace and have perfect audio. The mic is horrible, only the right earbud seems active and suffers from wind noise and legacy codec artifacts. Otherwise it's tuned to sound better than the cheapest Mi wired basic earphones, except when codec artifacts give it away.

The most important problem, that make these earbuds unusable, is the fact that when the case battery drains, the earbuds automatically turn on, even if they are inside the case. The consequence is that every call and every sound is diverted to the earbuds, that can be hidden anywhere ina a 50 meters radius. So, no, never again.

A very biased review IMHO. I've been using the OG Airdots for the last one year, and have faced these connection issues at some point, but never regularly as implied here. Audio quality is too good for the price, on par with wired earphones of the same price range. One thing which is absolutely crap is the Microphone, which is completely unusable even in home or in office let alone on the streets, a 1$ earphone would have a better mic. All said and done, i got this off Aliexpress for $13 and i cant complain much. It is what it is, a good decent earphone with capable abilities for music & podcast playback, shitty for phone calls and superb TWS convenience, a perfect 'beater' earphone

my Redmi AirDots fit inside my jeans coin pocket, and I understand that the two's sizes remain the same, unless I read them wrong...

Just get QCY instead. They're funded by Xiaomi now. You get AAC, and better quality at the same price as these Redmi earbuds.

SoundPeats TrueDot are the same form factor and price but include AAC and AptX amongst other things and probably sound several times better.

Wish I could have added a microphone review. That being said, affordability is an important argument for this device. Personally, and I think I'm not alone, I don't want to invest much in an item that can fall and be stepped on. For this price, I do believe that this model is an excellent option for regular people. If you have knowledge of a better device for this price, please share.

You get what you pay for... pretty pointless paying for wireless headphones that have poor audio qualities.
