Anonymous, 23 Jun 2020Maybe most of the games are pay-to-win as what you said not just in mobile but also exists in ... moreI highly suggest those PC/console games like COD Warzone. If you want offline games, The Last of Us 2 has been released.
Besides these days most mobile games are flooded with underage players. I have done my research in the Play Store to see what high-quality games I can play without having to pay a cent for their game. Yeah there's just a handful.

LinusTech reviewed the RM5G and there's a strange tint when he tried to take a photo of a pink-colored surface (which is his customised Microsoft Surface trackpad).
iPhone camera is clearly better, and that's not even the best camera the market offers.

LilPhone, 23 Jun 2020Gamers when what you game is basically just PUBG and COD Mobile, nice one comedian.Looks like the gaming phone h*ter is back in the comments section trying to convince himself and others that regular flagships are better than gaming phones and that you don't need a gaming phone without having zero Experience using either.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 23 Jun 2020The RM3S Camera is not too bad at all... I will tell you what is mind blowing... The night mod... moreAnd by not that great I don't mean bad. I mean it's not just as good as the iphones. The iphones camera is nothing special. But it's hdr is kind of ahead and it's night mode was doing better than even phones like the s10 which had an f1.5 aperture and the s20 with a larger sensor.
Seems like samsung just wasn't as focused on nightmode.
But they still have a decent lead over rm3 night mode.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 23 Jun 2020The RM3S Camera is not too bad at all... I will tell you what is mind blowing... The night mod... moreIt's not bad at all. But it's night mode is not that great. I can promise you that.
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2020Lots of people. That's one of the most ridiculous come backs to such ridiculous claims. Why ... moreThe RM3S Camera is not too bad at all... I will tell you what is mind blowing... The night mode... Man... Easily comparable to iPhone 11 Pro max night mode. Easily...
Kiwi, 23 Jun 2020With a gaming phone you lose in the camera segment . It is not much more superior than any oth... moreAnd with other phones you lose on audio, battery, performance, and qualities of the screen.
So what's your point? And you're not losing on camera. Rm3 and rog2 had great cameras. They just were not as good as the best.
And most phone cameras suck lately anyway. Even the better ones. They are good at everything but quality. Hdr, low light, ois, focus are great. Quality, resolution, nd processing are trash.
Your 865 reference is wrong.
Even for non gamers in every day life there is soc throttling whether it's minimal or large. Even on the most expensive Androids and iphones.
And last year proved noticeable difference. They don't throttle but maybe 10%... after long gaming sessions. Let alone after a few seconds or minutes of intensive tasks.
All why providing better audio, better, immersion, and display features on top of unparalleled performance.
So is this phone going to support CDMA (Verizon?) Totally would have already had my money if they will...??
robdevil XI, 23 Jun 2020Who care about camera while buying gaming device? Lots of people. That's one of the most ridiculous come backs to such ridiculous claims.
Why not be factual and logical? The correct response to point out to those people is that the camera is still very good. It's just not besting the flagships. And gcam can easily improve things.
Oh I shouldn't have to install x app to do this... you have to install all kinds of apps for all kinds of things. Grow up. And you don't have to because the camera still works great.
And rog 2's display was almost just as great as the highest end out there but even better in other ways, performance was better, battery was better, speaker was better, audio was better, etc etc etc...
Oh but this phone has a better camera so rog sucks...
And to top it off all you can reply is who cares about camera?
Lots of people do. Most people who buy a phone regardless of which kind do.
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2020Gaming phones are great for those who need the features / play a lot of games on smartphones..... moreActually these gaming phones are better for most people. Gamer, moderate gamer, or not.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 23 Jun 2020I am a gamer... It's for gamers. Period. But, yes to some extent your right. Its a proper g... moreThis is pc but I'm sure it also applies to mobile to some extent. The controls can be remedied by using a controller. Heck, mobile restrcitions might be even bypassed by pc emulators.
No question about the hardware of asus Rog. But I want to know about the software and OS update status of ASUS ROG 2.
for ROG2 users this is not a major upgrade. me myself as ROG2 Ultimate edition (1TB/12GB) can assure that.
hardware of ROG phone series sure OP but software wise, not very polished. Xiaomi's ingame management like replying WhatsApp messages while playing games much easier than ROG.
so for ROG 3, i didn't want to expect much, except added 1 more rear lens and SD865. otherwise ROG2 is enough for those wanting one.
I am a very pleased owner of a red magic device. The Red Magic is one of the very few arch rivals to the RoG. Some say RoG is better... Some say Red Magic is better... One thing I do know... Is that gaming phones in general are phenomenal... And there popularity is growing... Everyday. I can prove this on our FB community Forums. With 1000's signing up each week to Black shark/RoG/Red Magic Community forums...
In fact I underestimated the popularity of gaming phones. And I didn't realise just how much better they are than a conventional flagship. Until I bought one myself... And now there is just one problem with gaming phones... They are very addictive. This is because they are immersive... That high frame rate... 90hz+... Super sensitive touch. Zero lag connection... ATX Stereo 32Bit... Wow... So immersive... Oh and those shoulder triggers... And that fan cooling the overclocked gpu cpu which should be in forced maximum mode... Wow... Seriously guys... You don't know what you are missing... Until you decide to buy a gaming phone. And play your favorite games.... Your scores and your performance rockets... I am not kidding you. I encourage you all to think about a gaming at least... Before you buy your next phone... I did... And it is the best phone I have ever bought... So much so... That now I want another gaming phone. Because I am soooo impressed with them.
Feel free to ask me for any advice... I will try to help you. Or refer you to our community. They may have the answers I don't.
