Making your own device inferior.
Besides ZenUi is second only to Oxygen OS.

Android (most) and iOS are just a matter of preference. I have read this in some post.

Android has this user-friendly widget stuff long time ago, iOS has just introduced this recently. Android notification bars are also simpler and easy to comprehend, where iOS is a mess in this respect.

iOS introduced dark mode earlier and despite Android following, iOS implementation is still better. iOS also introduced this navigation bar. Certain Android UI such as MIUI and FuntouchOS copied it. Implementation of certain features such as contact-less payment are still significantly better in iOS.

Heck I don't understand why each platform users are mocking against each other, when it's best to mock the handset or company itself. I quite like Xiaomi (great system performance) and a bit of Samsung (if it weren't for Exynos or its bloatware), but I hate small CCP companies such as ZTE (nubia), Asus, Vivo, and Lenovo.

Still no Native Call recording Support, is it year 2010.
And ... well, that App screen, kinda is an App drawer but not exactly.
Come on Apple, Go all in. Why are you waiting on the boundry.
Decent update considering Apple, but still WAYYYYY to behind in customizability.

While I love Ipad as they are the only good tablets available now, I will change from Android mobile handset to an iphone only if they allow more customizations, easier data transfer and data organising capabilities and yes not lock me into their ecosystem with their overpriced accessories and subscriptions!

As somebody said, they will catch up with Android may be in 2035, haha I will switch then!!

2 min silence for android users here. My 6s plus is still getting update and samsung s6 edge support is over. Both launched in same year. Phone is working great with updates.

But there's no doubt iOS is improving a lot faster today than Android

                    >>> just today iOS finally caught up with features that android has had since a decade ago. the editor should really work for apple, he would fit right in.
apple finally introduces HD displays and calls it 'retina' because its brand new. android doesn't have any special name for HD displays
apple introduce video calling and calls it 'face time' because its brand new. android doesn't have any special name for video calls
apple introduces features found in android since a decade ago. - But there's no doubt iOS is improving a lot faster today than Android

The tiling reminds me of windows phone but looks better with the rounded tiles and space around the sides.

I have been using iPhones since 2016. I have used iPhone 7 plus and XS without jailbreaking or any other unofficial stores.
                          Recently got an iPad mini5.
Then my perception changed. iPad is awesome but iPhones are not. Got my hands on 2 years old S9 plus and that amazed me. There are some flaws here and there but overall I am happy with it. I use mainly for business purposes and some photography basic ones. I don't play games but listen to music.
People say that iOS has better selection of apps. I strongly disagree. My stock broker iPad and iPhone apps suck big time but the android app is simply awesome. For me business is important and the only concern now is system updates and security patches.

Not a fan of this company.
Not because of its product but more towards its conduct of price gouging, copyright infringement, hipsterism and monopoly.
And not a fan of their fans.

Losing 3.5mm jack on most android flagship(especially samsung) makes me want to test ios waters. Now the ios 14 comes...my next phone will probably be iphone when the time comes.
If android flagship still have 3.5mm jack, especially oneplus and galaxy note series, this will not be a question. Sony still have 3.5mm jack but availability is an issue.

I've watched the iOS 14 keynote and TBH it actually got a lot of good updates that has been long overdue. True that android phones have a lot of these features waaaaay back then. But I think apple's implementation is a lot more polished and refined.

Been using Android for the last 10 years. Changed 4 android phones. It has been LG viewty then again LG optimus. Switched to Samsung S3 then again Samsung A9 pro.

I love android but now I'm fed up that Android has 2 Major Software Updates and then That's It.

Phones have gotten better and can handle the latest softwares. Why on earth are we forced to buy new devices?

I loved the read. Thank you.
Not wanting to nitpick, just one thing in paragraph #11 -
"from one of the VoIP apps on your phone, will not just show a floating notification on top"

                                        I think should read:
"from one of the VoIP apps on your phone, will *now* just show a floating notification on top"

This is a good read and a nice summary of new iOS 14 features.
