Maybe the situation will change if Microsoft puts more effort on optimising Windows 10 on ARM and start releasing the ISO file to anyone who wants it (it doesn't have to be free, of course), but I doubt that will ever happen. Microsoft doesn't benefit from transition from Intel/AMD to ARM-based processors just as much Apple does, the lack of proper vertical integration is one thing.

Just buy a powerful Windows computer and enjoy. No any limitation. Easy to repair and upgrade.

Apple's SoC design team is exemplary and their design is the best mobile ARM implementation out there. I replied to a comment saying, "nothing can go wrong wrong with ARM chips". Just wanted to highlight that, poor design can mess up ARM based chips.

Adinatsu, 26 Jun 2020So if they remove thunderbolt 3 what ports will they offer ? Think before posting I can easily bet they will only use the Type-C port for Power Delivery. Just look at Dell's Latitude 7210 2-in-1 tablet. It's an update to last year's 7200 2-in-1 with 10th gen Intel CPU, but Dell removed the Thunderbolt 3 capabilities from both Type-C port. Now it's just for Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Like I said, I can easily bet Apple will do the same with ARM MacBooks.

You take an issue with it coz you have an issue with facts.

Windows is simply superior to Android and iOS.
                  There's no denying that.

And who wants this feature for any other reason than formal compliance with certain corporate computing equipment acquisition guidelines. Nobody. If you actually want a Windows laptop it is not hard to find one. People and businesses buy MacBooks because that is what they want, i.e. not for the sake of running Windows.

As it happens, if you can virtualize Linux (for ARM) on macOS 11 then you can easily do the same with Windows (for ARM).

Do not worry: MacBook on ARM will be like a type of iPad with keyboard, whoever is hardcore user (nobody) of business and productivity on iPadOS will also be that guy/gal on MacBook on ARM. The rest of us will use for very long time the MacBook Pro on Intel processors which Apple will continue to produce as long as Apple wishes to live among us.
