At the end of the day this rumor wasnt backed by him and these days Jon is pretty much the most reputable apple leaker
cmon stop dreaming 549 for the apple newest and fresh device even 5g. you should make 2 x 549 = starting price. yeah baby its more Apple style.
Android manufactures were already kidding themselves believing they could price their phones the same as iphones. They have nice gimmicks, but they don't have the brand cache. If this report is true, then the music has stopped and they will be left holding the biggest bag of odorous excrement.

Man, if true, OP, Samsung, Sony, etc are DOA.
Who would of guessed it would be Apple changing the market for cheaper phones? XD
Bogdan, 26 Jun 2020I had bad software experiences with Samsung phones too. Asus ones too. Xiaomi ones. Nokia ones... moreSoftware upgrade is a real bogus except for very few major upgrades in iOS most of them are security patches, bug fixes etc Any major upgrades required hardware support for it to take advantage of newer features (Touch ID, Face ID, Night Mode, 3D Touch, Portrait Lighting are few examples). iPhone upgrades such as Notification Panel, Widgets, removing skeuomorphism to flat looking UI, dark mode are already available in Android for many years. Beyond security patches users don’t need serious major upgrades because it affects their user experience due to familiarity towards existing options, navigation, tools etc..
I wouldn’t bother too much to decide between iOS & Android on frequency of Software updates or upgrades!
BTW, I have iPhone XS Max 512 GB & iPhone 11 Pro Max 512 GB.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2020Uae price expect of 12 pro ??Around 2500AED 4G version. And 3000 AED for 5G version.
The LTE version will definetly cost $600.
if it costs $550, then why would anybody ever buy the 5G version?
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2020I'm no expert but these prices don't make sense. iPhone X, Xs and 11pro were all 999. Now you'... moreBase storage is 100% still 64GB.
Yes, they can fit 5G and 120hz and get roughly the same amount of profit.

Probably will cost $400.
Viv, 26 Jun 2020Yup...young people tend to go with what their friends have...yeah, but if your comment is right, that means that a lot of people had to start off with iPhones in the first place.
Spanky, 26 Jun 2020Since iPhone users keep the phones for many years, I recomment that you skip the 4G versions a... more". You don't want to be stuck with 4G speeds for the next ~5 years."
Why not? It's definately not speed which makes me pay extra for 5g dataplan and device. 4G is already more than fast enough and it's cheap, most people doesn't even use fastest 4G, not even close. I'm using 100mpbs and this is already really fast and can run everything flawlessly. 5G is by far most hyped and overrated thing happening in tech world.

Bogdan, 26 Jun 2020I had bad software experiences with Samsung phones too. Asus ones too. Xiaomi ones. Nokia ones... moreI specifically said one ui version 2.0 and above with a samsung device using a snapdragon processor and not exynos, I bet you haven't tried a samsung phone since the days of experience ui. Then there is oxygen os, one of the best uis out there if not the best. As for huawei, their phones are doing great in performance with emui 10 without gms, even the ones with the kirin 810.

Anonymous, 26 Jun 2020If this turns out to be true, android flagships are doomed in North America. They are going to take an even greater hit, that's for sure

Hopefully Touch-ID will be back on the iPhone 12. With the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, Face-ID is a royal pain. With no Touch-ID, Android devices will continue to take market share away from the iPhone.
