It will take many Android users because of the price worthy iPhone 12 range. So many screen size choices at different price segments and the prestige of having iPhone will always be there. Plus more than 5 years of iOS updates can’t be matched by Android. So sad Android is now being beaten on its own turf. Chinese vendor phones are now more expensive even more than Apple. Crazy times. iOs 14 will be the turning point of it all.
I switched to iPhone recently, there is nothing in particular about ios that is better than android, UI is still far from perfect, it forces you to do more swipes and clicks which could be done in just one in android. Not at all comfortable for one hand use. Just going back to the previous screen in any app is tedious, control center and notification are tough to access from one hand. Having an eSIM for secondary use. It does not give an option to choose or set preferred sim in apps. Dialler which even the most basic of dumb phones get right, makes you work bit more to call the number that is not saved. So until the basic usability is fixed, switching from android is still far of an option for users.
no Always on display support
So Android users are to hate it or switch to it. We are not all Android users because we hate iOS is just a preference. So there should have been an option that states "i like it but i am not switching"
AnonD-762416, 28 Jun 2020It's Samsungfication of iOS. Let's be honest about that.
Why would I switch from a real Sa... moreReal Samsung don’t update their devices that long with major OS updates
Real Samsung lags
I can’t see an option for I couldn’t care
No need to switch , I have both Android and iOS and I get equally annoyed with both sometimes , I use my Samsung split screen stuff , music downloads , google maps.
Everything else is the iPhone.
I can’t see ios14 being the sole reason to switch OS but I can see people who already were interested in switching thinking it might be good to change.
I couldn’t leave either OS totally myself , I have my email, calendar, contacts , etc all synced across my iOS, Android and Windows devices , the windows being the least used as I’m moving away from static placed machine.
It's Samsungfication of iOS. Let's be honest about that.
Why would I switch from a real Samsung to something that copies what Samsung did years before? I'm one of those who isn't buying in to Apple's fraudulent use of SYNTHETIC benchmarks. Therefore I have zero incentive to switch.
Wow, lot of people thinking to switch to iOS from Android, no wonder Android users are so bitter and insecure about iOS14
The only thing APPLE needs to do now is
DROP METAL API AND ADOPT VULKAN API
They will see a huge increase in games and massive interest from developers.
Ensutiat, 28 Jun 2020This poll seems incompleteYess Its Stupid They Didn't Mention Any New Features of IOS 14 like Privacy
Ugh, you guys literally have the worst poll options on any website.
Where are the simple "yes" or "no" answers? You've provided 4 options and none of them apply to me.
Safety features are what takes the cake for me. Very good update
aVider, 28 Jun 2020I wish there was an option: "iOS 14 is a good update, still not a reason to switch from Androi... moreIt does offer split screen. What are your other "tons" of features?
aVider, 28 Jun 2020I wish there was an option: "iOS 14 is a good update, still not a reason to switch from Androi... moreYeah me too
I wish there was an option: "iOS 14 is a good update, still not a reason to switch from Android though".
The update is much better than the past 2 years, but it still lacks tons of necessary features like split screen, so no reason to change.
My last 2 iphones overheated, throttled and dropped brightness to 30% on a daily basis (so much for brightest displays). Thats a deal breaker for me.
The keyboard and mouse in game support seems promising ... if developers are willing to add it will be very good .. plus if they add ntfs external drive support it will be good too
