Anonymous, 30 Jun 2020If anything happens to your iPhone because of your non-Apple charger, your warranty is void.Well, first of all, I always buy my iphones second hand from specialized stores. The warranty is at that store, not at Apple. Also, this stores are selling usually iphones without chargers and cables.
Second, nowadays, I don't know exactly from when (I think from iphone X onward), third party companies can release chargers for iphones exactly like the original ones, that cost less money (50% less). Of course, this companies are paying some fee to Apple to release their own products with Apple technology. But me, the final consumer, I don't care. Apple has their money, I have my product with less money. But, in the end you don't loose your warranty if you go with the iphone at an Apple store.
But of course, people from outside the Apple ecosystem have a lot of misconceptions, usually spread by false or older information.

I have never dropped my phone once in my life. So I don't need apple care+.
If you made do with 5W charger back in the day, why can't you make do now? I still use a 5W charger with my phone cause I know that I should be charging my phone every day at night, not in the middle of the day. Also 18W charger costs $20, silly.
So that means I pay $400.

Headphone jack adapter - $10, which you'll most likely lose and buy again and again.
The top iPhone combined with all the stuff is $1800, which was $200 less than my gaming laptop I got a few years ago.

The cable alone is $35, totaled to $64. Nobody is convinced by your trolling or lies. Keep trying to defend apple all you want, but Apple's top end iPhone is in the price of their desktop range which I'm not discussing Windows workstation prices either.

Those who need can buy them. Why people are forced to pay for extra accessories, when phones prices are already very high.
Look what happened for Samsung, they reached the price limit and S20 is flop. Because the price is just too high. If Apple will include these accessories the price going to be same level than S20 series. Removing these accessories they are able to maintain their current pricing. How it’s a bad thing?

It is called Alza Power and has all the compatibility (with Apple devices, Huawei devices, etc.).
You don't need Apple branded charger or cables.
Is like saying "Omg, the Airpods are so expensive, that means wireless headphones are so expensive". Yeah, maybe Apple ones are. But I bought 1More true wireless headphones with 60EUR.

if apple were to remove the charger of the box, then at least up the wireless charging speed to 30w or so, apple is behind in terms of wired and wireless charging, and now it is getting worse
