That's the right move. No chargers, no earphones. And due to lack of these, i hope Apple will make it more expensive than the previous model. iPhone lovers euphoria.

A reliable source says, Apple will ship iPhone 12 even without the device in the box. The box will contain only the SIM ejecting tool and the documents. The price of the box will be $99. You can buy the phone, charger, headphone for $2000, $500, $500 accordingly.

Remember the "New phone can't fit the old charger"?
Judging by your enthusiasm to defend Apple, i think you would be one of those to buy the empty iPhone box for $999.

For apple laptop users they use some specific programs that only work for Apple devices. If these programs would work for Windows too, then probably nobody would go with the ultra expensive medicore laptops from apple

It's not like all people change phones everyday to say that it wastes a lot of environmental resources for charging bricks.
Heck, they'd even stick with the same charging brick they have that comes with the phone for the whole lifespan of their phones.
If anything, they're just asking extraordinary prices for their ordinary products. It's not to say that you're wasting your money on them, because it's your decision with your money after all, but all these marketing claims by Apple are purely bogus at best. Just like their so-called "Sapphire Lens" that can be shattered easier than normal glass lens from other brands with no such bold claims.

This is bad...power bricks work not only with phones but with multitudes of other devices like TWS boxes, Bluetooth speakers, etc. I don't think Apple's doing it for the environment...

And now ... moreWith android i see more and more things added to the box like case and headphones. Lots of android brands didnt have anything more then only phone and charger. Al these Xiaomi and the like in China started to add case and now i see that some of them already adding headphones too. Even tough they may not be any good headphones but at least they have something for you for the time you get better ones if you already dont.

As for profit and capitalism arguments, it's up to Apple what they charge and what they include for that price... I wouldn't judge... You either purchase or not for the price offered... Whether you are a socialist or capitalist, no need to raise that as an emotional argument here.

Waiting for mini this year..
Not including a charger and earbuds is a grave mistake and may face mockery...iPhone is not a disabled phone...earbuds and charger are basic features to take calls hands-free and juice respectively.

Here after no competition in laptops...want powerful one should go with apple

Trolls aside this is a brilliant move....but they can increase the price by 30 bucks and include the charger in box.. anyway people are going to buy it. I'm waiting for a14 chipset with 15 billion transistors and also a14x deadly

This move Android OEMs won't like, their prices are getting really high thanks to 5G. And now rumours are saying iPhone prices will stay same or close even with 5G than their last year models.
Android OEMs have no choice, but follow this trend if they want to keep up with the pricing.
