ishreal, 30 Jun 2020This worked out soooo well for their MacBook butterfly switches and iOS force touch lol. Apple... moreIt worked out pretty well for their actually relevant similar products (non-mechanical touch ID, non-mechanical touchpad click). Trolls aren't even trying anymore.

So basically it will be similar to the HTC u12+ but with better implementation and with sound, and all of a sudden everyone wants to follow.

ypcx, 01 Jul 2020one of them be can unlocked without needing to type in passcode when i'm wearing sunglass... moreOne of them has a curved screen on all sides and an equally ugly MASSIVE dual punch hole.

One of them has no google mobile services.

One has a hard-to-find fingerprint sensor.

On the other hand, one CAN unlock with sunglasses on. One is also has more secure recognition.

One has optimized mobile services and apps.

One isn't as large as a brick.

One is also $750 cheaper.

This better be some kind of breakthrough of something actually worthy of a patent... though doubtful.
Wow. You made a button slimmer abs want to add more feedback to the button. Bravo. Now everyone should pay you...

ishreal, 30 Jun 2020This worked out soooo well for their MacBook butterfly switches and iOS force touch lol. Apple... moreThis is going to be different. Force Touch should've been successful but times have changed. Display screens are getting thinner because of underdisplay fingerprint scanners. Some hundred thousand Apple users missed the Force/3D Touch.

"The patent gives the iPhone power button as an example, so that’s likely the first use case, but it these devices can find other uses as well. Instead of just buttons, this can be used for toggles as well (and the iPhone has one of those on its side as well)"

It is blinding reading this much "as well" in this small slice.
