How come? Anyway an encrypted connection should be intransparent, independent of the applied hardware. I've read uncle sam lobbied to water down 5G security measures.

Apple isn't banned in China and they're doing fine. Huawei complies with US law, so they get banned for fake national security reasons.

                                  What would happen if it was the US and it's companies leading the 5G tech? Would you believe CHINA when they tell you to stop using US tech because it is posing a security threat to your country? Would any of you stop using tech made in the US? USA and it's allies are full of ish... Play your part America and CHINA will play it's part.

Isn't it naive to believe that one of the worlds largest smartphone and network equipment manufacturers is owned by one man who inturn claims the company is owned by the employees. How private are these so called chinese private companies.
                                        By the way, spying or no spying, you don't expect western countries to have their network infrastructure controlled by Chinese company with the chinese government having a history of spying and cyber attacking other countries which do not agree with their policies. Ignorance and naivety is the problem with these western kids, we in Africa and some asian countries have felt effects of communist state capture.
