Schlafwandler, 01 Jul 2020DOA. It seems that this phone is not even in production. What a shame for HMD. And when they r... moreTheir was a huge problem with the supply chain and HMD were not the only one being hit by this problem aka cor ona. I know you all act like only Nokia is the problem, as far as i can see, only chinese crapp comes out long time now. Gsmarena is full of them too. I see no real release, and their is a reason why. As for this device, HMD wanted with all their heart to be released once with the movie. But slowly they need to release if they dob't want to loose even more money.

annoying customer, 02 Jul 20201. the part not near them 2. most all Chinese phone company force price by the government 3.to... moreEvery phone is made in China and HMD is basically a China too and never mind that it has workers from Finland. Nokia lives based on old fat of nostalgia and there for have high prices for there phones. And then they delay the release of there new phones a lot to a point there hardware gets older and older but price for them be still double then competition. Btw i were a Nokia fan as most of my phones have been Nokia. Something over 20 years i have used phones from Nokia starting with 1610 and 2010 modes. Only 4 phones i have had different brand and they are Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Leagoo and now past 2 years redmi note 5 ai dul cam as my first xiaomi phone that had specs like on Nokia something that cost exactly double
Man it's been like 2 years since this phone
was unveiled, and now everyone has forget about it.
They need to do another unveiling event.
Don't unveil a phone if you can't release it within two months following the device's introduction
This HMD brand sells a lot of overpriced junk, riding on the coat-tails of Nokia's fame from yesteryears.
I'm truly surprised that people still consider this brand worth mentioning after how spectacularly their Pure view "camera phone" bombed at taking pictures in comparison to it's peers...the whole raison d'etre of that phone.
This one is only a subpar phone and people who buy this either are on the kool aid or just not too smart in life.

Let me get fanboy logic fact, the reason why Chinese phone are cheaper because force by the government to price them they want more people to used there phone. So other company not lucky because they are in different situation then Chinese Brand

I like Nokia phone, but too lousy for the production.
I don’t get the price. Too much
For this price you get SD865 phones and even these for llike 60 euro cheaper then this ultra expensive garbage. Poco F2 Pro for example with amoled screen and sd865 will go 60 euro less then this 8.3 and best part is that the poco isnt as tabet as this nokia is too.
Nokia 8.3 ... 6.81 inch screen 171.9 x 78.6 x 9 mm
Poco f2 pro ... 6.67 inch screen 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm
And it dont have this silly punch hole for selfie camera as it has the popup cam for it.
At this time frame most of the buyers will expect the price cut
Even Sony released their devices faster than Nokia lmao. Even HTC released two devices in the same time frame, too. That's just really lame.
DragonNF, 01 Jul 2020Reasonably priced, android one, decent specs. I think this phone is pretty decent. It's not decent at all. I have a Nokia 8. My phone's specs are better than this new 8.3. think about that.
Lots of RAM, expandable storage, good cameras, and a headphone jack! The question I always have is - Where does it work? Too many of the 5G phones have regional radios. The T-Mo LG V60 looked good, but it won't work at all if I travel outside the US. Then the Xperia 1 II and Pro looked good, but they have no 5G or long range frequencies in the US. The Motorola Edge has everything but I have no faith in Moto software support.
New Nokia still carries the banner for quality builds. Many tear downs show off nicely screwed down, neat assembly of interiors. Like to see the future new "Pure view" coming in a two size variants. Apple and Google consistently cater for both physical size markets like no-one else, so it would ne nice here too.
Yeah, if it came out in April, it might've had a chance. Now it's just an oversized, nothing-much-to-show-for-it midranger...
