theStick, 04 Jul 2020My question exactly, their TV chips are seriously underpowered and lag after few months of use... moreThe sad thing is a huge portion of TV SoCs don't even support WiFi 5. There were talks about a minimum system requirement for AndroidTV so that Stadia runs well natively but then leaks Googles own upcoming dongle uses the SoC found in this TV.. My only hope is the Philips 2021 series. early benchmarks showed they are quite capable.

I haven't used their product any but am pretty sure it's gonna be a good one. If I have the opportunity I will love to have 65" edgeless screen. Love Xiaomi.
I really don't understand what's the deal with this TVs.
They use cutting edge hardware for picture quality like 120Hz Oled 4k, but use trash CPU for the operating system.

All these products are manufactured with cheaper quality will not stick more than year.. Garbage products.
Cheap price but very poor quality TV and wastage of money. Not good for long time.

Looking at the specs, you're paying 1200 US to get the equivalent of a $180 smartphone. What the hell?
MI is the worst for TV. Takes a lot of time to start or change channel.
Well, if LG doesn't hurry up and stock the tv I ordered and paid for sometime soon, in going to cancel it and buy one of these
MI tvs are not worth to talk about, they are basically scrap thrown by those Chinese people for our insane people to buy and flaunt the size of tv.
These tvs don't have a guaranteed performance feature and you can blindly throw it in the gutter when it comes to service.
Good luck for people investing in this dirt.
RealLifePhones, 04 Jul 2020Why does Xiaomi always has to use extremely underpowered chipsets for their AndroidTV devices?... moreMy question exactly, their TV chips are seriously underpowered and lag after few months of use. I have a xiaomi TV box that has the same chipset found in most of their TVs. I personally hate dated tech still used in premium products. One more feature that's still being overlooked in TVs is WiFi 6 which i think is a must in a world of intensive online streaming
