Indrawan, 05 Jul 2020Already confirmed on playstation 5 official site, ps5 can run 120fps, support 8k, pls check the siteOh god, it is theoretical support. Ps4 supported theoretically 4k too like for movies. Same with ps5, there is no way ps5 will run any game in 8k and as I mentioned 120 fps will be on shitty Indy games like 2d scrollers or something, ps5 is designed around 4k 60fps.
LETHAL, 05 Jul 2020interestingly enough GT7 is already confirmed to run 1080/120 fps or 4k/60fps on PS5 which is ... moreYou just said it 4k 60fps, this is exactly what I said :)
Bogdan, 06 Jul 2020Well, the future will definitely be digital. Especially now with the rumor that games for next... moreDefinitely!
I also feel like PS5 is better suited for getting games on discs (better availability in most retail stores), while the XSX is much better for digital (very strong Game Pass).
Bogdan, 06 Jul 2020Series X announcement of what? Maybe you are referring to games.
Rumors has it that it will ... moreIt's not that simple. The first few games won't take full benefit of the new consoles, and the hardware differences between PS5 and XSX will not be that apparent. However, the very different amount of 1st party games in the catalog will be very much noticeable.
This all leads to a controversial point about how "mass consumers" gauge products: inferior products have lower prices. If you price the XSX too low, there is a risk that Sony can (in the first year) make a strong case that XSX is actually an inferior console. I mean, you can already read all the BS around the SSD everywhere. What do you really thinks it's going to happen if the PS5 has the games, while the XSX only has promises of a better tomorrow?
Warmachine, 06 Jul 2020Can anyone recommend some TV's and monitors with hdmi 2.1 something that supports 4k @120hz!?Lg oled c9 or cx
Fayth, 05 Jul 2020I love the symmetry on the Digital Edition
but I still prefer to buy physical discWell, the future will definitely be digital. Especially now with the rumor that games for next gen consoles will cost 70$. That will most likely be 80EUR in Europe. I mean it will be ok only if you play one game per couple of months, but then why do you need a gaming device?
With a 15EUR subscription per month (like Games Pass Ultimate), you have more than 100 free games to play (and games are constantly changing). That will mean 5 months of subscription for 1 new game. In 5 months you can play at least 10 games, even new release games. Not to mention you have Xbox Gold included, so you can play online too.
The only thing you will need is a fairly decent internet connection to download the games, let's say 50Mbps speed.
Is exactly like Netflix, but for games. This is the future of gaming my friend. People are just not realizing this yet.
Racercrew911, 05 Jul 2020Well I know that this will happen soon, but what about xbox series x announcement?
I haven... moreSeries X announcement of what? Maybe you are referring to games.
Rumors has it that it will be an 1 week event (starting around 20 July). They will announce games, hopefully the Series S and probably price and release date for both consoles.
I don't know why Microsoft is playing this game with Sony (I mean not releasing prices). They have nothing to win, but Sony has everything to loose, if Microsoft will do a good pricing for the consoles.
Microsoft has a lot more money as a company than Sony and also has more money coming from services like Game Pass or Xcloud. If I were the CEO at Microsoft I will release the Series S at 200$ and Series X at 400$. Then is check mate for Sony. No way they could match this prices with PS5's. Yeah, Microsoft will loose money on consoles, but they will gain a lot more on subscriptions. Imagine how those consoles will sell at that prices and that translates into people buying subscriptions. Even a hardcore Sony fan will not pass (no pun intended) that opportunity.
Can anyone recommend some TV's and monitors with hdmi 2.1 something that supports 4k @120hz!?
Note Sony: work with SquareEnix to release an all new Chrono Trigger, and sequel to Dark Cloud 2 exclusives.

Vegetaholic, 05 Jul 2020Lol 120fps, there will be no modern games running on 120fps on ps5, it will be standart 60fps ... moreinterestingly enough GT7 is already confirmed to run 1080/120 fps or 4k/60fps on PS5 which is pretty impressive for a AAA game on console.
Indrawan, 05 Jul 2020Already confirmed on playstation 5 official site, ps5 can run 120fps, support 8k, pls check the siteIt says "8K Output" i.e it has an in-built upscaler that can output upto 8K, not that games will render at that resolution. For eg. Xbox One S can output 4K through HDMI but doesn't actually run any game at 4K. The game may be rendering at 720p, but it's upscaled to & output at the native resolution (1080p/4K) of the TV.
PS5 can render games at 4K and it can support upto 120 fps, but it hasn't been mentioned anywhere that it's going to do both at the same time. In some less demanding games it might, but that's going to be an exception rather than the rule.

I just watch some Tech Deals videos on Youtube and he is making some comparison between 15 graphic cards (from RX 580 all the way to RTX 2080 Ti). Even the RTX 2080 Ti (which is what, 1000EUR card?), doesn't go above 60-70 fps on Very High Settings in majority of the games.
Thus being said, me and my wallet are ok with 1080p 30fps-60fps. That means a 500EUR PC or PS4/Xbox One S consoles.
I am not that hyped about PS5/ Series X consoles. Maybe if they will cost 300EUR at most (disc model), which is highly unlikely.

It took them so long to give anything above 60fps.
Thanks
