sa11oum, 09 Jul 2020Cute little upgrade, are we up to A12 levels yet?Nope, nowhere close.:)
The kids who only use their phones for gaming are losing their minds, but for those of us who use our phones for actual business and staying connected know that the A13 is still far ahead :)
I guess the suggestion here is that if you cannot afford an actual console plus 65inch UHD tv or a gaming rig with a proper monitor, you should buy some cheap gaming phone that will lose updates in 1 years, loool.
It is so cute to see kids go on about PubG as their only come up for their cheap no name brand gaming phones that are not even sold in most parts of the world probably due to poor quality standards and malware preloaded into those so called gaming phones. :)
Anonymous, 09 Jul 2020Those Youtubers are pretty reliable with speed tests.
I can't say the same about Anandt... morewhy am i required to tell you anything, you can keep incorrectly guessing for all i care.
Your comparing the Verge to Anandtech.....seriously?????
Anonymous, 09 Jul 2020How would I know what device you have unless you tell me?
The way you are shilling for fruit ... moreWell here's a hint....stop assuming you know in the first place!!!!!!!
I don't shill, won't deny I have used and continue to own apple products, i also have a few android based items around the place. I am just a fan of tech is all.
But, I’m not dumb enough to believe for a second that Apple, a company with a marketing budget alone that is likely big enough to purchase ASUS outright if they so choose, is unable to muster the engineering prowess necessary to produce a GAMING orientated device like the ROG 2, again if they so choose.
But why would they need to, their existing line up is capable of standing on it's own merits, they don't need to go down such niche avenue's in the hopes of finding some success.
AnonD-893029, 09 Jul 2020Well I don't trust you and have actually in my time watched a speed test or two. enough t... moreThose Youtubers are pretty reliable with speed tests.
I can't say the same about Anandtech though.
But you want to deny all evidence and rely on biased sites?
What next? An article from Verge which is the laughing stock among tech Youtubers?
Plz do tell us which phone you are using.
Can't imagine anything other than some iboyzzz tr*lling for Apple with their refusal to accept real world tests.
AnonD-893029, 09 Jul 2020So again, what device do i have then???
i'm only asking as you somehow seem to know. How would I know what device you have unless you tell me?
The way you are shilling for fruit logo company, I thought you use iPhone.
[deleted post]So we are right back to chosing to believe the ramblings of some random anonymous dude, or one of the most respected tech websites in the buisness???
Hmmm.....it's a tough one that?!?!?
[deleted post]So again, what device do i have then???
i'm only asking as you somehow seem to know.
Android.Master, 09 Jul 2020Can iOS run variety of emulators? Nope. Can iOS running iPhone output higher than 60fps? Nope... moreLOL! We all know you troll just created THREE different just to spread your fake news and biased opinions on this site. Don't try to hide!
AnonD-893029, 09 Jul 2020oh well that alone proves it then, thanks for clearing that up anonymous!
Go read both anan... moreAnandtech is the most Apple biased site in the world.
Since 2010-11 days, they have been covering up for shortcomings of iPhone while praising every overrated feature all the while grilling any top dog Android for their shortcomings.
No surprise that the owner Anand Lal Shimpi went on to work for Apple.
In real world, ROG 2 smokes the iPhone in day to day performance as well as gaming.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 08 Jul 2020My 855+ kills the A13 pro max... Of course... It's a red magic... Of course... you seem to have no sense... and use antutu way too much ... and have never used an iPhone yourself... and is very biased... and needs to use "..." much much less...

Go read both anandtechs review of the ROG2 and the iPhone 11 series, I'm not sure I’m allowed to directly quote here on, but long story short, their findings differ some when compared to your own.
Their conclusion of the A13 GPU is best in class. About the ROG 2 they say that whilst it's GAMING performance is outstanding. It achieves this whilst getting uncomfortably hot to the touch. Guess that ASUS cooling module is not so optional after all eh???
Now I can either take their word for it, or that of some anonymous person on here, Hmmm?????
AnonD-893029, 09 Jul 2020Logic??, he's talking about a ROG phone, the ultimate one trick pony, niche device, like ... moreIf it was only single purpose(for gaming), I wouldn't be keeping my S10 at home and using ROG 2 as daily driver.
MrPhong, 09 Jul 2020Of course the ROG Phone smokes an iPhone in gaming easily, because one's designed for gam... moreLogic??, he's talking about a ROG phone, the ultimate one trick pony, niche device, like it alone espouse's the virtue and superiority of an OS. A device thats doesn't throttle or over heat at all, even after continuous gaming apparently. Which then begs the question as to why ASUS try to sell you a separate cooling device?......seems like a bit of a con to me, but hey ho.
It's a gaming phone, designed for that single purpose. Stick iOS and an A13 in that kind of chassis, and you'd get an experience every bit as potent for GAMING.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 09 Jul 2020Totally agreed... A13 capped at 60fps... Even 765G can handle 90fps.It can handle 120fps as evident on the Vivo Z1x.
[deleted post]Hex editing?
Lol, I am running Chinese version of pubG.
Fully unlocked at 120fps.
It is available on iOS too but obviously capped at 60fps due to hardware bottleneck on 1500$ device.
MagicMonkeyBoy, 09 Jul 2020Yeah... And still the A13 can barely cope with high graphics at 60fps...and gets hot. My frien... moreWhat you are saying is spot on.
You have to turn down certain things in gfx settings, turn off Bluetooth so that network performance isn't affected, close apps in memory and
Still it will overheat after couple of hours.
ROG 2 has no such issues. Can use Bluetooth headphones since it has 4 WiFi antennas and performance is not compromised over wireless networks. Also chipset doesn't throttle after continuous gaming. And you don't have to close background apps during gaming to prevent app reloads.
And they call it the optimised OS.

iOS Sucks, 09 Jul 2020Jokes on you!
Already running pubg mobile at 120fps on my OP8 pro. Hex editing is a breach of the game's policy. Same as using GFX Tool to play. You can get banned. I'm not stopping you, but you can try 😅
And only PUBG Mobile? Seriously is that the only Esports game you can play on 120fps?
Anonymous, 09 Jul 2020What are you talking about? He said it was the better GAMING phone... Which it obviously is, i... moreWho's mad?? point's were made about the qualities of a certain device, I chose to counter them, thats all.
And you read my line about my hoping the ROG 2 is the better GAMING phone right, it sure not set to win many (if any) other accolades.
As for being a fanboy, well i doubt you'd mind about that as much, had I been pecieved to have choosen the same team as you.
AnonD-893029, 09 Jul 2020Not really, as iOS being 'inferior' is never going to be a point you could hope to s... moreI think the other user pretty much destroyed your argument with facts about iOS being inferior for gaming.
You seem to be not able to digest Facts about your 1000$ inferior device.
