Well done to Nokia on this. When looking for a cheap (very cheap) back up device, I once had the option of either the Nokia 1 or the Moto E5 Play GO Edition. I chose the Moto as it actually featured a fingerprint scanner, quite the spec for such a low end device.
Whilst Motorola haven't been too bad on security updates for the device, it's currently on May 2020, there has never been any hint of any OS upgrades, and it's remained on Oreo go edition since day one.
I didn't even think Go Edition devices were eligible for OS upgrades till reading this. So again, well done Nokia.

It still works. Nokia should be commended. Using the 4.2 on Android 10 and I am sure of android 11 update. I might switch to an iphone after this though.

Good of HMD, these are the things we like seeing. Users of the phone would be happy, if it also didn't mar the user experience with slow downs or introduce bugs.

This is why I like Nokia phones. They use older chipset and are expensive but they provide software support.
