Low quality update, stay away until bug fixes. I lost many files on my sd card (nokia1, android 10)

Well done to Nokia on this. When looking for a cheap (very cheap) back up device, I once had the option of either the Nokia 1 or the Moto E5 Play GO Edition. I chose the Moto as it actually featured a fingerprint scanner, quite the spec for such a low end device.
Whilst Motorola haven't been too bad on security updates for the device, it's currently on May 2020, there has never been any hint of any OS upgrades, and it's remained on Oreo go edition since day one.
I didn't even think Go Edition devices were eligible for OS upgrades till reading this. So again, well done Nokia.
[deleted post]2018 isn't that long ago. The majority of companies out there still fully support their 2018 devices
I'm always pissed whenever I have to work on one of these ,it's slow as heck😔

It still works. Nokia should be commended. Using the 4.2 on Android 10 and I am sure of android 11 update. I might switch to an iphone after this though.
Good of HMD, these are the things we like seeing. Users of the phone would be happy, if it also didn't mar the user experience with slow downs or introduce bugs.
This is why I like Nokia phones. They use older chipset and are expensive but they provide software support.
This is the reason why I always support Nokia brand. I have Nokia 3 (2017) from the first batch of their Android phones. It had stock Android 7 pre-installed (without any spyware or bloatware) and later received OS updates of 8, 8.1 and 9. Unfortunately, it won't received Android 10. In it's third year, they are providing quarerly security updates to Nokia 3. Nokia provides OS updates to all their phones from low end to flagships. Other OEMs whose products are cheap in price compared to Nokia, hardly provides OS updates to their low end and mid range phones. Looking forward to replace my aging Nokia 3 with Nokia 5.3 when it will be available.
