They will remove the free cases next. Then the boxes will be replaced with simpler packaging. Wrapping paper maybe. Selling purely phone only. I mean, I don't mind if they sell budget phone like this.

I think a good compromise would be to give the user the option of including a conventional fast-charger at little extra cost (the cost should be close to the production cost, not more than 15 Euros). Then the user can decide whether the charger is necessary or whether the user has enough chargers at home, and does not need an additional charger.
Chargers do create waste, however, some users really need them. This might strike a good balance.

Think dropping the charger is a great idea. It will keep phone prices down.
If I want a charger I can buy it myself, I do not need Samsung or Apple to force me to pay for one in the box.
Why should I have to be forced to buy something from them when I do not need it and if I did would rather chose and pay for a charger myself?
Good move Samsung.
This isn't a wise move from Samsung if they implemented the plan next year... 🙄😓

Phones being shipped without power adapters, proprietary charge / data ports, dongles for headphones are all old practices from well before the first iphone launched. We have seen this all before so can't believe why any company would be daft enough to repeat this history.

I'm gonna say it straight up. A charger is NOT an optional accessory. It is a COMPULSORY accessory to use the phone. Thus every OEM should be REQUIRED to provide this NECESSARY accessory alongside their devices, IRREGARDLESS of the price of the device.
In case they actually go forth with this highly controversial move, we as consumers should BOYCOTT their products (whether the brand be Apple, Samsung, or ANY OTHER).
If us consumers won't DEMAND to get our money's worth, then these greedy companies will keep trying to scam us to the extreme ends. I hope most of you will find reason in my words.

And about Samaung vs Apple, Apple for year put in the box like 1A charger, so it will be ease to replace with another, but Samsung (or from any other), fast charger, original fast charger 25, 30, 45, 65w, is in a lot places hard to find, also they cost extra money, and for what?
Motorola (Google) at least did that in a 150$ phone, not in 950$ phone. :D

Seems a bit biased when there is also Samsung doing the same thing but you only hate Apple. It is also not for cost, they say it's for the environment (''According to estimates, old chargers generate more than 51,000 tonnes of electronic waste per year''), but who knows.
