Rk100, 08 Jul 2020Then why is there so much controversy with apple doing it? The amount of android users hating/... moreWho knows
But still i thin it is a bad idea, esp for flagahip phones, not only Samsung, or Apple, but any of the kniwn OEMs.
Open your mind consumers. These companies are just milking you. Don't fall for their anti pollution theories. They just wanna maximize their profit.
Don't support them. It all started with the headphone jack. The more you ppl keep quiet the more they'll take you for granted.
They might lower prices for now so as to gain support from the fanbois. But eventually they'll raise it back year by year. It'll be too late and you all will be desensitized for this.

One of these days, a "Don't buy" protest is going to hit an unlucky greedy OEM, that's when they'll learn not to play God with customers money.
AnonD-867696, 08 Jul 2020First notches and removing headphone jack then removing charger in the box? I really hate appl... moreThis is Samsung bud. Not apple. Hate on apple all you want, but you know well its not Apples fault that Samsung is doing it, it's not like they were forced to copy apple. SMH, people like you will always find a way to hate apple.
Nowday every compny doing too much. Tbey will remove charher on the name of cost cutting but mark my words. They will not reduce charher cost just like 3.5mm jack. They will sell theor phone on the older price and make more profit. I really hate apple. If company want to reduce prices then why they not remove manual user guide from box, why not giving ordinary box .both r reduce price atleast 10 to 20 USD. 1st everyome start removing earphone thn start removing earphone jack and now going to remove charger. Can someone tell me why goverment or any orgnisation not take any action against thia stupod things? (Sorry for poor english)
I wonder what the android fanboys think about this now. Apple didn't even do it yet, and it's already being copied. Since this post all the Samsung boys have been real quiet.
will they discount $60 they charge in stores if you want an original charger?
Apple haters who used the removing of the charger to bash Apple :
"Wait, this is illegal !"
Anonymous, 08 Jul 2020I bet next year, no phone will come with a charger in the package. For the same price...Still better, than only charger in the box with phone pricetag /s

On the other hand, dropping the bundled charger from premium Galaxy phones also makes sense as some models support 45W charging but come bundled with only a 25W power brick. So, if you want 45 W you’ll have to buy a charger separately anyway, plus you won’t have much use for the one you got with the phone.
In this case bundle the 45W one and drop the 25W one, not everyone is a previous phone owner those who buy their first and high end wont be happy to spend another $50 for the charger which is a basic necessity (they wont be happy with 25W charger either)
Switch to Xiaomi and enjoy. Don't fool yourself and don't overpay your hard earned money.
Jobaz, 08 Jul 2020Capitalism = greed...... It's all about profit And it's great.
I don't think it's much of a problem with devices that use USB-C. I have never used the charging bricks that come with my devices, as I like to buy a faster charger that has two or three charging ports and get a long braided cable.
I think it'll be more of a problem for Apple users as it's still using the lightning cable.
If a lower price is reflected, then it's fine.
