Sounds like it appeared after android 10 OS update which seemed to be buggier than usual even on Google's own Pixel devices.
This isn't my trade, I'm not a tech insider or advisor I tried to think & my brain went, "🤯 memory full, please delete something first", but maybe you could try switching from Wi-Fi @ 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz networks in settings for a more stable temporary solution.

The S10+ Exynos 9820 is on 8 nm, the S10+ Snapdragon 855 is on 7 nm. The fact that these 2 versions were marketed and sold as a single product is criminal behavior on part of Samsung, and should have resulted in class action suit, if we had anything like that in the EU.

I would still contact Samsung CS/ Support, it's for them to fix or replace via the 2 years warranty.

My S10+'s battery perf is normal for the Exynos version. The Wi-Fi issue could be a reason for replacement (there's a big thread on Samsung forums of many other customers who have the same problem with this same phone), but not enough annoying/limiting for me to go through the hoops of sending the phone back. Fixing that issue won't change the fact that the phone's battery performance is about 20% that of the P30 Pro's.

Very odd indeed.
I too am able to move quite easily between the two, having a sizeable investment in terms of Apps, games and media in both the Android and iOS ecosystem. My main digital movie / TV library for instance is in Google Play Movies. This is because, whilst I to had used a number of platforms prior to android (and later iOS) such as the garbage that was Symbian, BlackBerry OS, I even had the original Palm Pre for a time. It was only when I got onto android (my first was the HTC Hero) that I felt comfortable enough to start spending money.
Didn’t get my first iOS device till the IPhone 4S, and have switched back and forth many times since. That I am stating to settle more into iOS lately isn’t out of some fanboy bias mentality, but rather a long (and admittedly expensive) journey of trail and error.
It’s my opinion only that iOS is the better platform right now, that doesn’t mean I think Android sucks. I’ll leave it to the fanboys to try to pass their own opinions off as fact.

The Ap... moreBeen meaning to watch that one, have been subscribed to his channel for years.
It’s an interesting take on things, ultimately it highlights the advantages Apple has, I mean 20% market share but 66% of the overall profits, the Android crowd might not like Apple’s very existence, but there’s no denying its success.
Whether they maintain that success going forward with this ‘services’ centric business model, who knows, but it’s an avenue open to them that virtually no Android oem can hope to replicate.
One thing is for sure, Apple’s ecosystem despite being labelled as ‘weaker’ by some very simplistic thinking on the part of the Android bunch, has provided Apple with options on how to continue growth and profitability in a time where smartphone sales seem to have plateaued.

Assuming you bought it brand new, then
1st contact Samsung, in E.U. & U.K. you have 1 year warranty on the battery & 2 years on the device from date if purchase.
If it's over 1 year then they will assist with solutions.
Go to Samsung website to contact Support, Guides & Community.
Nothing looks worth updating to, definitely not 2020 Exynos, so I'll keep this as 4 years daily driver, then as a backup/ 1tb PMPlayer.
Hopefully this year will be the first and the last of 1000+$ phones. Who cares how fast it runs if it feels like a brick, drops like a brick and breaks like an egg.

Something about you doesn’t quite add up.....
It would be the same as me changing my name tag to ‘iOS lover’ or ‘iPhone 11 pro’ or some similar nonsense. Then proceeding to carry on endlessly about how I cannot stand Samsung and Android, then claiming to own a both Galaxy Fold and S20 Ultra 5G (512gb version of course).
Now wouldn’t that seem juuuuust a bit strange?
AnonD-893029, 12 Jul 2020Yeah.... No. Android has far larger user base than ios, not a 'stronger' ecosystem. ... moreAny ecosystem needs strong user base. Play store vs AppStore revenue comparison is completely misleading. Most of the Android services related revenues are made using the large volume of user base be it booking various tickets, paying utility bills, placing orders in e-commerce sites, doing fund transfers, paying for shopping using mobile wallets, ride share payments and the list endless....Android world developers actually offer genuine services to make money than just develop a game, develop some app for camera and milk the customers every month on subscription sort of offerings in Android wont be appreciated. I have iPhone XS Max & 11 Pro Max (512 GB both), I never pay any subscription beyond ₹1 a monthl for my iCloud storage. I have stopped paying for Apps and only subscribe OneDrive & Google Drive. Monthly $25 subscription for Apps is way beyond my comprehension!
Never again will I buy a premium phone, I can buy a mid-range phone for Motorola and get everything I need, just because you have the fastest phone on the most premium products, I get what I individually need and believe me mid-range take more than care of what I need, I do not care about the oled net screen lcd screen does the same thing, and I only buy unlocked phones once I pay for it I'm through with everybody else,I cannot stand Apple it wants you to pay for everything, I would just stay with Android it does what I needed to do, I do not care about 5G it is just a way for them to make more money. 4 g takes care of all my needs.

No. I said I’m not willing to trust high wattage charging as a regular method. Whether I change my tune or not at some point in the future is quite frankly, unknown. What, you've never changed your mind about something???
And your the one implying I have some problem with Chinese devices, not me. I'm fairly indifferent about most of them to be honest.
And as for this Apple slowing down software, yeah know that was thing, not going to defend them. All I can say in my own experience is that, the effect is minimal. I recently gave my dad an old iPhone SE, he's not much of a tech head so of course I had to set everything up. again though, all can say is that if its slower now, it must have been lightning quick in its day.
AnonD-893029, 13 Jul 2020Yes because I’m a biased fanboy, and you’re not eh 'Android' Master? Your fanaticism... moreYou still haven't given any links where tons of people are suffering degradation due to fast charging.
Whatever degradation they are facing is normal degradation that happens with time.
In reality these phones which are stuck at 18W are the ones showing more battery degradation because they are using inferior outdating charging technology where Manufacturers haven't internally tweaked the batteries and other components.
Best Example is Apple which not only gives weak 18W charging but also slows down phones with subsequent updates.
Xiaomi has already shown how they are not only giving 65W but also using batteries which are higher capacity & have higher charging cycles compared to regular batteries like those inside phones stuck at 18W.
Everything innovative from Chinese manufacturers must be bad.
If they perform better, they must be slowing down after few months.
If they give faster charging, it must degrade battery in future. All those assumptions without any proof.
When those non Chinese brands give you higher Watt fast charging, you'll suddenly change your tune.

I can confidently tell you that I have never desired fast charging as one of my prerequisite specs. Even when rocking Androids as my main device (my last was the dismal S10+, which I couldn't get rid of quick enough), if fast charging could be disabled in settings, then I would do it.
If it’s there and it’s an emergency, yeah sure. But I am not willing to trust that kind of wattage getting pumped into my device on a regular basis.

Obviously Oppo X2 Pro is the best of those, but like you said, pricey, depreciation, but also last year's shell design (P30 Pro-like). Just not enough for me given I'm on S10+ (exynos) and P30 Pro. If X2 had e.g. 10x optical zoom, I'd buy it. If S20 Ultra was Snapdragon in EU, I'd buy it (now that they really improved the camera software).
My S10+ has absolutely horrid battery and charging performance, and a bug where it's dropping WiFi connection periodically, so no movie watching at home. The P30 Pro I can't use outside anymore after EMUI10 upgrade which removed vertical zooming control in landscape camera mode. Also the P30 often misses notifications, probably due to aggressive battery optimization. So it's not like I'm not looking to upgrade, but the phone makers this year are flat out retarded.
