It's a great way to launch a phone. Looking at what they do, 1+ seems to be ahead of google in many ways, whether it's marketing their product or the useful features it adds to the stock android, etc. The team seems to be a bunch of very creative people with elegant design outlook similar to apple. I'm almost certain that they will be the Apple of Android world in the very near future, leaving all other giants behind. They are the only ones who seems to know exactly what the customer wants in the android world. Wishing them a meteoric rise in the coming days.

AirY, 11 Jul 2020I will be happy alot if NORD will flop just like OnePlus X 😂I bet it's going to flop. I think it's just a waste of time and money from OnePlus, and for us consumers, when you can buy the exact same phone from the other BBK companies for cheaper with basically the same internals and customer service. For example the Oppo Reno4 5G is basically the same phone or even the Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G Racing which has a better chipset, higher refresh rate and is only 260 euros. I would not recommend the Nord at all.

I think that it's a nice marketing gimmick. Having a 3D model of your upcoming phone can be quite nice, especially if you want to see it in all angles, or see the exact placement of various things (speakers, SIM tray, etc.).
It would have been nice if they would have made this AR thing available worldwide, not just in India. Hopefully, you can buy it from anywhere.
I wish more companies would make such promotional gimmicks (AR + special app + lottery + discounts).
