Why not just give consumers the option to freely remove and replace batteries?!
The 'inbuilt battery' is an entire scam to enforce repeat customers. So you're technically forced to upgrade as your phone will eventually be unable to hold its charge with continued use.
The very common knowledge batteries degrade each time you charge them fully, and even further with rapid charge capabilities.

Xiaomi demonstrated how their highest capacity batteries not only had more charge cycles than regular batteries but also supported the highest Watt charging.

My Samsung flagship broke and I bought last year's oppo flagship and it had 50w charging.. totally blew me away.. 0 to 100 in 35 mins. I will never settle for a phone with less than 35w charging now which means I can't buy half the flagships out there. Go analyse. Kudos to oppo and all other brands should adopt it.

I gave a rational reason why they'd keep increasing the wattage, because in the end, the OEMs win—batteries won't hold as much over time.
Want and need aren't the same: one might want a race car without needing one.

Rest of the world including Europe prefers Android.
Indians don't just buy phones blindly based on Brand Name.
Hence, only 5% people use iPhone.
Besides why would anyone buy iPhone when 2020 flagships like OnePlus 8 pro are available for half the price.

Doesn't look too bad to me, iP7 is a bit slower than iP11 for sure, but it's expected for 2016 vs 2019 hardware. If you don't like updates that's fine, but keep in mind bugs like the Bluetooth bug for which every Android version 9 and older with security patch before 01.2020 is vulnerable to.
Apple introduced 20 w charger: "this is stupid, android just introduced 125w charger, 20w is like a decade behind"
Oppo introduced 125 w charger:"this is stupid, we actually don't mind 10w charger. in fact it's better that way"
LOL, this is how you know most "tech advice" here is worthless

So you can't be talking.

I have a friend that is having such a hard time ditching apple that told me he will just make 2 big updates then never update his iphone again as both his phone and tablet went to dust after making more updates.
I'm fine with 2 big updates on android and honestly the OS is so mature that only useless options are added 98% of the time. Android 11 for example seems more like android 10.2, get over it, updates are no longer adding Useful stuff, every good stuff is already there.

RIP batteries. These kinds of charging rates will only speed up obsoletion.
Fast charging is nice, but we need bigger batteries. It's scarce to see fast charging on phones with 5Ah batteries and above. Currently, only the Rog Phone 2 has 30w charging at 6Ah.
Then, the Vivo Z6 5G which is only available in China, has 44w charging(The specs show an SD card slot, but in phone reviews on Youtube, there's none) and a 5Ah battery.
https://www.gsmarena.com/vivo_z6_5g-10092.php
Currently, no other phone above 5Ah supports charging faster than 30w, which is available globally.
125W charging is pointless if the battery isn't 5Ah or more. 4Ah is already too old right now.
