Anonymous, 14 Jul 2020That $25 meams twenty five different reasons to consider never ever buying from Apple.Exactly! If you want a premium Android phone your best bet is Samsung. Incredible build quality and superb displays, all around the best in market! Absolutely love my Note10+! It has incredible battery life as well!
ThePong, 14 Jul 2020Yeah, the throttling issue is completely unacceptable. What's weird is that the iPhone... moreI see you know absolutely sh*t about Samsung and therefore shouldn't comment on them. Really sad and pathetic.
CompactPhones5ever, 14 Jul 2020Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't feel like ANY sort of settlement is justified, ... moreAndroid only needed security updates. New IOS features, like what the other person said, already exists on Androids and marketed as new stuff to ios fans. Because Apple "invents" everything.
CompactPhones5ever, 14 Jul 2020Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't feel like ANY sort of settlement is justified, ... moreput simply....Android users do not need 5 years of updates like IOS dripfeeds to its userbase, I mean IOS 14 is still rolling out features found on android a decade ago, most android phones will get 2 major software updates and 3 years of security updates, say what you like, but that is plenty of updates, i have a galaxy note 10+ and an iphone se2, used both platforms since HTC Desire, and iPhone 3GS, in all that time, even major updates on IOS feel like basic updates on android IOS 14 is a continuation of that trend
CompactPhones5ever, 14 Jul 2020Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't feel like ANY sort of settlement is justified, ... moreIt's not "battery optimisation", they deliberately slowed the phone down to disguise the deteriorated condition of the battery.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I don't feel like ANY sort of settlement is justified, because the only "crime" Apple has made was not communicating this battery optimization update properly. Sure, Apple should've given people a choice whether they want this update or not, but all the affected devices are still quite fast so I'm pretty sure most people would've chosen to sacrifice a little bit of power to get an extra endurance anyway.
I'm an Android user myself but it's ironic how some Android users are laughing at iOS users for getting a messy update now and then on their 5 year old phones while our devices lose all support after 2 years top...
Akira Kurou, 14 Jul 2020I was wondering, why does every scandal has the word 'gate' on it?Because of the Watergate scandal involving Richard Nixon, people began appending "gate" to the end of various scandals.
What about all the international users who have been mocked by Apple? It's not enough that they demand huge prices from non-US customers, but they can't even get a compensation for Apple's abusive practices. Truly sad.
Yeah, the throttling issue is completely unacceptable.
What's weird is that the iPhone is still fast enough despite throttling. iPhone 6s can still run smoothly for PUBG Mobile at smooth graphics 30fps (no power saving mode and all background apps closed). It will still run Fortnite at minimum possible graphics fine, but may get warm.
Yes, there is prolonged apps opening, but it's not too slow.
Its rival Samsung S7 Exynos cooks an egg with the same setting, let alone 20fps. Samsung keeps pushing more bloated OS every year and no single user notices this. Samsung should also be fined for giving throttled chipset at a staggering price. Heck, its marketing strategy is so good (better than Apple recently) that only few knew that its chipset is just impotent.
But despite this I have to agree that iPhone 7, 8, and X were underwhelming and cr*ppy iPhones.
only 25$? they should give free battery for this
and why only US?
so others outside of USA are not eligible?
US only? Lol. I was hoping I could get store credit and buy myself a new apple watch band
