True question is not how many companies will adopt 120 or above charging sticks but how many of them we will actuualy sees in box with the phone.
Apple and Samsung are going to exclude chargers.
Note 10 supports up to 40W charging but in the ox is just 18W charger.
And many companies and brands are alike.

kibble, 14 Jul 2020This the same technology Oppo launched & IQOO, Vivo, Realme and soon OnePlus will be using... moreYeah it's better we stay in the stone ages

We shouldn't invent technology then optimize it for the better long-term

Man I wish we gave up on batter technology overall hundreds of years ago since it was so dangerous

kibble, 14 Jul 2020This the same technology Oppo launched & IQOO, Vivo, Realme and soon OnePlus will be using... moreTired of this same fake news being repeated again.
Culprit is the Anandtech (AppleTech) guy who claimed it in a tweet.
Oppo never admitted to anything.
Infact they debunked it via independent lab testing along with their own testing.

AnonD-906854, 14 Jul 2020Dude, that article is based on rumors and there are no experiment supporting the claimCorrect. Read an Android Authority article demonstrating how a Oppo R17 Pro had little battery heat build-up with its VOOC charger.

This the same technology Oppo launched & IQOO, Vivo, Realme and soon OnePlus will be using it with different names as they all come under the umbrella of BBK electronics.
But, have they even solved their previous issues of the 40 W fast charging tech?
"OPPO has apparently confirmed that the 40W tech degrades a battery to 70 percent of its capacity in the same cycles 15W charging would to 90 percent." [ https://www.phonearena.com/news/OPPOs-40W-fast-charging-not-good-for-battery-longevity_id124509 ]
One can only imagine what would be the effect of 125 W then.

prikitiw, 14 Jul 2020125 W ? I'm worried about the battery life span 🤔It's interesting. The battery cell is split into two. So for a 4,000 mah battery, you're charging 2 2,000 capacity cells at the same time. And rather than the heat building up in the phone, the heat builds up in the charging brick instead. So it may not have that much affect on the life of the battery.
